A great piece on the traffic problem in Drop's home city by @Dominque Ritter. And a great point by Drop's Qiming Weng on the solution: “Most cities in the world understand that bikes have to be part of the conversation — they’re like the glue between these bigger infrastructure projects. You need the last mile,” he says. https://lnkd.in/eWJaNHFR

Enabling sustainable, local, micro-mobility for cities
About us
Drop Mobility enables sustainable, local, micro-mobility for cities. Fuelled by a responsibility to tackle some of our generation’s biggest challenges around climate change and congested city infrastructure, our team works every day to replace short car trips with smaller electric vehicles, with the vision of changing the way millions of people move in cities across the world. We build best-in-class e-bikes, scooters, trikes, etc and customized software, offering a vertically-integrated micro-mobility sharing solution for our city and institutional partners: system design, hardware and software, ongoing support, public policy, and operations management. Unlike other micro-mobility companies, we enable our partners to locally brand and operate their systems with the belief that a more tailored approach is better for the communities we serve. We are constantly expanding our line of products including offering new ownership models to make micro-mobility more accessible to more people.

So proud of Ithaca Bike Share and 1 year of ridership! https://lnkd.in/edyAWvGt
Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the launch of Ithaca Bikeshare. OMG!! What a year! Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen. We have too many important people to name but I want to shoutout Mike Parker and Laurence Clarkberg who really do the heavy lifting in bike share world. In just 365 days we have provided 68,890 bike rides!!!!! That is an average of 188 bike rides a day. We have ridden 176,000 total miles for almost 1,000,000 minutes!!! 8070 people have downloaded our app and more than 95% of them have taken at least 1 ride. Our #1 rider has taken almost 700 trips and our bike with the most uptime has provided 800 trips. We are still growing and expanding and we can’t wait to see what happens next!!
