FCM strongly condemns the U.S. administration's implementation of 25% tariffs on Canadian goods today, which will do nothing but hurt communities, businesses, workers and supply chains on both sides of the border. FCM will continue engaging with our American counterparts to demonstrate the strength of unity across borders and the vital nature of bilateral trade between Canada and the United States. As we navigate this difficult period, we must work together in a concerted Team Canada approach to ensure a stronger Canada emerges from this crisis. To Canadian communities large and small, in all regions of the country: FCM is actively bringing your local realities to this national conversation. We have your back – and we are stronger together. #CDNMuni #cdnpoli

Across the country, in communities large and small, municipal leaders are at the forefront of a national response to the current economic challenges. This has been a core theme to this week’s Board of Directors meeting in Dorval, where the Board reaffirmed commitment to members and highlighted recent engagements with municipal leaders on both sides of the border. Local leaders are standing up for Canadians – because we are stronger together. #munican #polcan
