À FinDev Canada, nous avons eu le plaisir de participer à La Dictée P.G.L. de la Francophonie 2025, organisée par la Fondation Paul Gérin-Lajoie. Last month, I had the opportunity to visit #SouthAfrica for the first time to attend the Finance in Common Summit. One of the highlights was engaging with diverse stakeholders during a workshop hosted by SouthSouthNorth (SSN) and United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) at SSN's beautiful office. We explored “Bridging the gap: integrating local voices into #adaptationinvestments”—a crucial conversation on making #climatefinance more inclusive. It's been a whirlwind, highly productive few days in the #IndoPacific region including stops in #Singapore and #Indonesia. The region is young, growing, and urbanizing - making it ripe for investment and achieving the United Nations #SustainableDevelopmentGoals. We've returned to Montreal motivated by our meetings with engaged partners. Thank you to the incredible FinDev Canada team for putting it together, especially Paulo Martelli, CFA, David Bhamjee, Michael Smart, and Saadia Hassan.  Key highlights include:  1. Made progress on building regional relationships by opening a local office in Singapore - Export Development Canada | Exportation et développement Canada; Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS); Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada 2. Fostered deeper partnerships with co-investors to further dealmaking in the Indo-Pacific - Indonesia Infrastructure Finance, Asian Development Bank (ADB); Suzanne Gaboury; IFC - International Finance Corporation; British International Investment; DEG 3. Engaged with key clients to grow our portfolio and achieve our #development impact 4. Advanced the business case for #sustainableinfrastructure through partners, sponsors, policy leaders, integrators, and advisory groups 5. Looked ahead to financing additional #economic sectors in the region. https://lnkd.in/eRbvpXgs *** Notre court séjour dans la région de l’Indo-Pacifique a été un tourbillon très productif, avec des arrêts à #Singapour et en #Indonésie. L’équipe est revenue à Montréal remplie de motivation à la suite de ses réunions avec des partenaires engagés.
