I am so proud to be a part of history with ITD and this amazing milestone. What a first class event and a first class company.
ITD Industries Inc. and Nikola Corporation, take a significant step in helping the decarbonization of Canada’s busiest commercial transportation area. Yesterday marked an important milestone in Canada’s shift to zero-emissions commercial transportation. ITD Industries Inc. and Nikola Corporation have combined efforts to launch Canada’s first operational 700 bar commercial fueling station for Class 8 hydrogen trucks.. The station, located at ITD Industries’ headquarters in Etobicoke, ON, was inaugurated in the presence of Hon. Doug Ford, Premiere of Ontario, Hon. Sam Oosterhofff, Associate Minister of Energy and Intensive Industries and many other provincial and federal dignitaries, business leaders from Nikola Corporation, Walmart Canada, Canadian Tire Corporation, Loblaw Companies Limited among other members of the clean energy, retail and transportation communities. The ITD Energy hydrogen fueling station is situated at 161 The West Mall, a pivotal location of Ontario’s logistical corridor in close proximity to Highway 401, Highway 427 and the Queen Elizabeth Highway (QEW). This station, the first of many ITD Energy is planning to unveil, will pave the way for decarbonizing Canada’s busiest transport network and meet the fueling needs of the Nikola hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles distributed by ITD Industries for the Canadian market. The ITD Energy hydrogen fueling station uses a 700-bar pressure-fill system—allowing hydrogen fuel supplied to be compressed and dispensed into onboard storage for long-range vehicles like the Nikola Class-8 trucks. Along with partners such as the Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) and other private and public organizations, ITD Industries and Nikola, are spearheading the transformation of Ontario and Canada’s commercial transportation sector towards a carbon-free future. The presence of Premier Ford and other distinguished public and private figures, underlines and validates the importance of this station launch to the future of long-haul carbon-free commercial transportation. This station is the first of several ITD is planning on erecting across Ontario with Nikola Motors as we aim to build a hydrogen fueling corridor connecting Windsor to Montreal. ITD Energy is a subsidiary of ITD Industries, a decades old trailer manufacturer that has transformed itself into a catalyst for sustainable commercial transportation solutions in Canada with its distribution agreement for Nikola battery and hydrogen Class-8 trucks, as well as with the manufacturing partnership with ZO MOTORS株式会社 for medium duty electric trucks. The event was possible thanks to the kind contribution of Fasken, Atura Power and Enbridge.

ITD Industries Inc. is proud to announce that, on July 2nd, we received $2.7 million in funding from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario | Agence fédérale de ..., to support automating our van and chassis line to increase production and to support the development of our “ITD eTrailer,” revolutionary transportation equipment product that combines solar and e-axle technology to power a reefer unit for up to 3 days using 100% zero emissions energy. Our eTrailer system allows for significant operational savings while reducing up to 12 tons of carbon emissions per reefer unit. For this important event, James Maloney, Member of Parliament for Etobicoke–Lakeshore, visited ITD to meet with employees and make the official announcement on behalf of the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario | Agence fédérale de ... ITD is sincerely grateful to the Government of Canada for this support and acknowledgement of the hard work and ingenuity of our engineers and the broader production team. We look forward to seeing new advanced manufacturing machinery and equipment on the shop floor and the first eTrailer units roll off the line later this year helping fleet operators across North America meet ambitious carbon-emissions reductions targets. ITD is extremely proud to announce another milestone solidifying our leadership position in bringing zero-emissions technology to the Canadian transportation industry. Today, ITD Industries and ZM Trucks (ZO Motors North America) announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding in which ITD will become the exclusive distributor of zero-emissions Class 4, 5 and 6 trucks for the Canadian market. The zero-emission truck market is rapidly developing in Canada, and ZM Trucks’ innovative Battery Electric as well as Fuel Cell Electric vehicles, will offer new and cost-efficient alternatives to operators. This announcement follows ITD’s new partnership with Nikola Motors to distribute Class 8 zero-emission trucks in Canada, as well as the announcement of ITD’s new eTrailer technology during Truck World 2024. We’re excited to be building the future of Canada’s sustainable transportation and we’re only getting started. Stay tuned for more announcements during the coming months.
