A major milestone for Iraqi farmers! Top Iraqi retailers and farmers came together to forge long-term partnerships and build a more sustainable, inclusive agricultural market in Iraq. We were pleased to welcome interns from our valued partner and supporter, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, to our headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Our agenda was packed with in-depth presentations and discussions that emphasized our strong collaboration with our parent agencies: UNCTAD and WTO, as well as key examples of our work that showcased our commitment to inclusive and sustainable development. Together, we explored key areas of ITC’s work, including how we: • Empower women entrepreneurs in developing countries, enabling them to benefit from international trade. • Equip small businesses with the tools and resources to integrate environmental sustainability into their operations. • Help young entrepreneurs scale their eco-conscious business and advocacy movements through innovation, mentorship, community engagement and market linkages.
