It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the death of our coworker and friend, Mr. Michel Legrand. He worked for Transocean for nearly 46 years and most recently served as Managing Director, Asia and Australia. He was among the most knowledgeable people in our industry when it came to rig operations, and those who worked around him benefitted immeasurably from his leadership, mentorship, and experience. Michel was a very special person, a “legend” in Transocean, and he will be sorely missed. We extend our condolences to his family, friends, and all who are impacted by this loss.
