❓ Have you ever wondered what happens to a car when the driver has a medical emergency? That’s what Emergency Assist is for.     Emergency Assist is one of the most connected functions in the entire vehicle – and it is able to take over longitudinal and lateral guidance, the warning signal, horn and brakes using multiple different vehicle actuators.   If the driver does not show any driving activity due to a medical emergency, Emergency Assist can detect this and attempt to make the driver react, e.g. by      ▶️ Tightening the seatbelt  ▶️ Giving warning signals  ▶️ Or breaking abruptly      If this does not succeed, the function will bring the vehicle to a controlled stop within the system limits and can thus possibly prevent an accident.      __   #WeAreCARIAD #EmergencyAssist #SafteyFunctions *Future functions of Emergency Assist which are not available yet.  Volkswagen Passat R-Line: Combined fuel consumption: 5.1 l/100 km; combined CO₂ emissions: 135 g/km; CO₂ class: D 

⚽️ Sporty #app news: The official #FCBayern app can now be downloaded from the #Audi Application Store in select vehicles such as the AUDI AG Q6 e-tron – with live scores, the latest team updates and much more. The new addition further expands the sport apps offer of the store, which also includes travelling, working or news apps. 💡 FC Bayern’s players, coaches, and officials received their new cars for the season. ❓ How can product development benefit from #AI? At our first GenAI Hackathon, CARIDIANS explored the possibilities of GenAI to find innovative solutions for day-to-day situations.   The main focus of the Hackathon was on the automation of development processes: Some teams used GitHub Copilot Business for faster code development. Other teams worked with multi-agent systems, in which agents autonomously took on roles such as product owner, developer or tester. These AI agents then interacted with each other to create and review artifacts such as code or documents. With this approach, teams were able to optimize development processes through automated collaboration and to detect errors at an early stage.   🏆 And who took home the trophy? The Hackathon’s winning team focused on optimizing requirement documentation, including:   ▶️ Using graph databases and GenAI to extract correlations in unstructured data from various requirement specifications and make them efficiently searchable. ▶️ An AI-supported tool that systematically reviews cross-departmental requirement specifications and identifies deviations.   Thank you to all participants and our partners Microsoft, GitHub, Avanade and Accenture. __ #WeAreCARIAD #GenAI #Hackathon #Copilot

🤝 Welcome to CARIAD, Viktoria Solms!   Viktoria will join CARIAD as the new Head of Communications on November 1, 2024, taking over our team communications, brand and marketing team.   Previously, Viktoria was Head of Communications at Porsche Digital, the sports car manufacturer's technology and digital unit. She began her career as a business reporter at Axel Springer and, at the height of the financial crisis, reported from New York as a US correspondent.    She then took responsibility for communications for the global launch of the ShareTheMeal app, an initiative of the UN World Food Programme (WFP).
