And how can they be used for protecting critical infrastructure? 🚀🌟 The event takes place annually at HCA Airport in Odense, organised by Odense Robotics and UAS Denmark Test Center.     𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:   Key takeaways brought the international drone industry together for conversations on how we can advance drone potential and technologies.      ✨ Drone Industry Insights (Annual Survey Open: https://linktr.ee/droneii) highlighted that Nordic drone companies are more optimistic than the global average, scoring 7.1 compared to 6.6.     ✨ Danish defence and academia discussing unmanned vehicles on the battlefield, commercial off-the-shelf products in military contexts, NATO standards, and future armed conflicts. Danish companies showed strong interest in defence procurement workshops.     ✨ Best-practice cases from the U.S., Europe, and the Arctic showcased drones for infrastructure inspection, delivery, disaster management, environmental monitoring, and healthcare logistics. Public-private partnerships were highlighted as crucial for advancing the sUAS/AAM industry.     ✨ Drone legislation and operational safety were also key themes, with Danish companies interested in updates from the Danish Civil Aviation Authority (Trafikstyrelsen) on DK’s upcoming drone strategy and overcoming airspace integration and flight testing challenges.     𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:     “Seeing drones and software in action before you invest provides valuable insights into system capabilities. "Gateway to Europe" today offered international companies new perspectives on the Danish drone ecosystem and opportunities to network with key industry leaders. ✈🙌  The exclusive event took place in Odense as a pre-event to tomorrow’s International Drone Show at HCA Airport. Great to so many conference participants join us the day before. Will the rest of you join us? 🚀 Important insights from the Danish drone ecosystem were shared at the event today to explain just how seamless one can integrate into Denmark’s premier robotics and drone environment. Here International Drone Show hosts took to the stage to share their insights: Søren Elmer Kristensen, CEO of Odense Robotics, highlighted the numerous benefits of joining the Danish robotics and drone ecosystem and cluster, such as how it can help companies accelerate their innovation and growth, while Michael Larsen, Head of UAS Denmark Test Center, gave an intro to Denmark’s national test and innovation centre and info on how companies can obtain European-wide approval in the EASA category.    Rasmus Festersen, Investment Manager at Invest in Odense, actually kicked off the meeting by presenting the success story of the Danish robotics ecosystem as well as our ambitions in the UAS field, which was followed by Lars Appel Haahr Haahr, Special Advisor at Invest in Denmark, who delivered an overview on how to establish a branch in Europe and its advantages.    Dr Uwe Stein FREng, Technical Director at Flowcopter LTD concluded the lineup by sharing their case: Why they, an international company, decided to do business in Odense. Uwe also shared insights on their collaboration with with UAS Denmark. Dinner, drinks and networking wrapped up the evening.
