Line and Max presented Visibuilt at NABin yesterday! NABin is the yearly conference in Oslo bringing together speakers on the topic of asphalt binders. These seminars emphasize technological advances, key experiences from Norway and abroad, and create a forum for inspiration and knowledge sharing. We were honored to open the floor as the first speaker on the program 🎤 Our founder, Line, talked about our recent work on the novel binder from mycelium, visiBIT. She discussed how the natural network of mycelium can act as an alternative binder to traditional bitumen in asphalt, and how we utilize this in visiBIT. Recently, we tested visiBIT at the The Fehmarnbelt Project, the announcement can be found here: https://lnkd.in/dvaqXFnr 🛣️ Both were inspired by NABin’s focus on exploring sustainable alternatives to bitumen in asphalt, addressing maintenance challenges, and integrating environmentally friendly practices in road construction ♻️🚧 Thank you to the organizers and especially Jon Borge Finset who invited us to NABin!

Our CEO and Founder, Line, recently spoke with Clean about "Videnbroprojektet" and its importance in developing our fermentation-based binder, visiBIT 🛣️ Interested in learning more? Read the full interview below 👇(article in Danish)
#Viden #VejenFrem #Innovation

VISIBUILT AT THE FEHMARNBELT PROJECT 💥 We’re thrilled to announce a major milestone for Visibuilt! We’ve just completed a successful feasibility test at the The Fehmarnbelt Project, where we upscaled the production of visiBIT and paved our very first road section at a parking lot. This achievement was made possible by the dedication from Northern Europe’s largest construction site, the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel, to test visiBIT as an alternative to traditional, fossil fuel-based bitumen in line with their commitment to reducing the CO2 footprint of the tunnel. Check out our latest press release on our website to read all about our preparations, and the results we’ve gained from paving our very first road at Fehmarn! 🛣️ Link: https://lnkd.in/dvaqXFnr A huge thank you to all our collaborators on this project: NCC, Femern A/S, Femern Link Contractors (FLC), DTU - Technical University of Denmark, Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, Det Nationale Forskningscenter for Arbejdsmiljø (NFA), WE BUILD DENMARK, and Erhvervshus Sjælland. The project is part of Erhvervsfyrtårn Femern co-financed by EU and REACT-EU funds, and Danmarks Erhvervsfremmebestyrelse.
