Join our growing team at Finnish Design Shop! We now have an exciting new position open for an eCom Sales and Customer Director. This year, Finnish Design Shop celebrates its 20th anniversary, and we are in a growth phase where we are strengthening both our online sales and company-wide marketing by dividing the currently combined functions into their own functions. This is a new, P&L-responsible role that will be in charge of the sales and customers of the Finnish Design Shop online store. We are collaborating with InHunt Group for this recruitment. A delightful mix of Asian culture and Nordic-style furniture from the likes of Mattiazzi, Muuto and Wästberg, the interior design of Nin Hao comes from the minds of Buzz Wei, Yu-Hsiang Lin, and Chung-Wei Lee of Plan Plan Architecture. Our Contract Sales team had the pleasure of helping Plan Plan to achieve their goals while creating this pearl of a Fujianese kitchen in New York. Today, October 10th, 2024, officially marks the 20th birthday of our company 🎊 Founded in 2004, Finnish Design Shop has transformed over two decades from a humble small business into one of the world’s leading online stores for Nordic design. A lot has changed in the past twenty years. In 2004, online shopping for design was still somewhat uncharted territory. To put it in perspective, computers had only just settled into homes quite recently, and while you could jazz up your Nokia 3310 with a catchy ringtone or a snazzy wallpaper, it certainly wasn’t built for e-commerce. From an idea into a company of 130 professionals, from a small space the size of a studio apartment into two offices and a 12,000-square-meter logistics centre, and from a few hand-picked Finnish design classics into a selection of over 300 brands, our two decades have been quite the ride. In July, Finnair unveiled its new lounge areas at Helsinki Airport – and we had the honour to participate in this fantastic project as the main furniture supplier. The interior, created by Studio Joanna Laajisto, combines haptic, high-quality materials like oak, leather, and natural stone and is predominated by dark tones of blue, reflecting Finnair's brand colour. The abundance of high-back seating was chosen to answer the demand of a modern business traveller seeking silent and calm, even private surroundings before or between flights. Most of the furniture is customised to bring a sense of uniqueness and a feeling of quiet luxury. The furniture is largely made in Finland and celebrates skilful artisanship. The Finns, like Nikari Oy, Made By Choice, Artek and Fasetti Oy, are accompanied by a fine selection of top Nordic brands such as GUBI, New Works, &Tradition and Wästberg.
