Social rights must stay a priority!     In times of economic strain, protecting social rights is more important than ever. The European Committee of Social Rights review provides essential guidance and recommendations to help states ensure that economic pressures don’t come at the cost of social rights.     With input from 41 States Parties, social partners, civil society organisations, and human rights institutions, this review offers key insights and guidance in addressing the challenges raised by the crisis in terms of  ➡️ reduced real value of wages   ➡️ social protection,  ➡️ housing issues,  ➡️ energy poverty  ➡️ and food insecurity.     These recommendations should shape policies that ensure that social rights remain protected even in challenging times.      📌 https://lnkd.in/ekY8vRTn   #SocialRights #EconomicJustice 

🤝Taking a step towards deepening cooperation, the CEB - Council of Europe Development Bank and the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a Mutual Reliance Agreement to streamline project implementation & facilitate co-financing of public sector projects in countries of operation outside of the EU. CEB Governor Carlo Monticelli: "This agreement is a concrete example of how MDBs are working together more effectively as a system, to deliver financing where it is most needed.” EIB President Nadia Calviño: "It is more important than ever that we join forces in mobilising investment and supporting a strong European voice in the world."   Highlights of the agreement include: 🔹 Mutual recognition of each institution’s procurement policies reduce administrative burdens 🔹 Enhanced co-financing for larger, more complex projects 🔹 Alignment with the G20 Roadmap for more effective multilateral development banks   The CEB and EIB have a strong track record of co-financing projects that drive social and economic development across Europe.
