Monique started her career at FORVIA 30 years ago as a Development Engineer in France, and has since then held various positions, in France, India, the US, and China. Today, she’s the Group R&D Transformation Vice President. As for Xue, she joined FORVIA in 2020 after a 6-month internship and now works in one of our plants in France as Innovation Project Leader. Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) and Digital Transformation initiatives are revolutionizing the mobility experience.   To keep advancing in this fast-paced world, FORVIA joins Connected Vehicle Systems Alliance (COVESA) Board members alongside Ford, BMW, Stellantis, Bosch, Aptiv and others to contribute and accelerate the development of open standards and technologies for connected vehicles. Dr. Tara Akhavan, Software Solutions & Ecosystem VP will represent FORVIA on the COVESA Board.   COVESA is a global alliance that brings together like-minded leaders to develop and unlock the full potential of connected vehicles, and FORVIA was already a co-chair working in standardizing the Android Automotive platform to onboard more app developers, so bringing more apps into the car.   How do we see connectivity in the car environment? By mid-2024, we will fully electrify two of our R&D centers in Bavans and Seloncourt, France, through two services contracts with Schneider Electric! Facilities heating and distribution systems will be retrofitted, employing state-of-the-art technologies. This will help the Bavans site save an estimated 2.6 GWh of natural gas consumption and the Seloncourt one 540 MWh per year. The two projects are expected to achieve respectively 85% and 100% reduction in CO2 emissions, accelerating FORVIA’s objective to reach Net Zero emissions across all three scopes by 2045. “Many other sites will follow to reach net-zero emission in scopes 1 and 2 as early as 2025,” said Elisabeth Delval, Group Sustainability Vice President at #FORVIA.
