☀️ As we venture into autumn, here are some highlights from an unforgettable August at ABL Group! swipe and enjoy our month filled with laughs, team bonding, celebrations, and achievements as #onegroup, #oneteam👇 🌏 Peter Adam, Group Marketing Director for AIM, and David Heavey, APAC Regional Director for AIM, visited our Kuala Lumpur office and joined the #ABLMalaysia team for some delicious Taiwanese cuisine. 🍰 The #ABLGroupAberdeen office hosted their annual bake-off in aid of Alzheimer’s Scotland, raising an impressive £300 for the charity – what a delicious way to support a wonderful cause! 💜 🏃♀️ In honour of National Women's Day (Africa), our #ABLGroupSouthAfrica office participated in the "Run for Her" virtual race, raising funds in memory of the women lost to gender-based violence in South Africa. 🍽️ ABL Group managers enjoyed a relaxed lunch in Oslo ahead of their management meeting in Norway- great food and even better conversation! 🎉 The #ABLAPAC team celebrated a huge milestone for their colleague, Sanny Osman, marking his 25th anniversary at ABL Group – big kudos to Sanny 🥳 🏙️ ABL Group IT have a competitive team bonding as they end up winners of a life-sized Monopoly game in London 🪓 Over in Perth, #ABL and #AGR teams traded in their keyboards for axes with an exciting game of axe throwing – no one aimed at each other, right? 😜 🍽️ The #Innosea team gathered for a bittersweet farewell lunch to say goodbye to colleagues Patrick Reid, heading to Norway for the second year of his EDP, and Muhammed Adedigba, who completed his internship in structural engineering. 🧙♂️ #OWCAmericas took team building to magical new heights, dressing up as wizards and whipping up cocktails at ABL Group's East Coast hub in New York City – looks like halloween came early 🌕 The #OWCAPAC team enjoyed a serene moonlit dinner in the city with smiles all around! 🍷 Meanwhile, the #ABLGroupLondon office hosted a wine-tasting event, learning about the artistry of wine from a skilled connoisseur – a fancy way to cap off the summer! 👋 That’s a wrap for August! 🌊 Would you like an update on #AquaWind? 🌊 #Innosea, an #OWC company, is proudly supporting this EU-funded flagship project, aimed to integrate existing #OffshoreWind energy developments alongside innovative finfish aquaculture solutions in the Atlantic region. The project consortium consists of 9 expert partners from France, Spain, and Portugal. 🐠🌍 Bernardo Kahn, an Offshore Renewable Energy Engineer, shared the value that Innosea offers the project, including, ⚡ Dedicated Renewable Energy Company 👥 Teams with Multidisciplinary Expertise 💡 Extensive Experience with both #FloatingWindTurbines and Marine Systems Throughout this project, #Innosea has been tasked with developing a numerical model using OrcaFlex, to support fish cage and mooring design systems. Project Manager for #AquaWind and Senior Consultant at Innosea, Maria Ikhennicheu, has shared with us her experience working on the project, noting, 🗣️ "It is great to be involved in this multidisciplined project and exploring the potential of innovative mutli-use sustainable offshore systems. 📢 Innosea has authored a new paper on shared anchors and mooring lines for floating wind turbine farms, following insights heard at the EERA DeepWind 2023 conference in Trondheim, Norway. Check it out 👀👇🏼 Read the paper 💻 https://lnkd.in/e83pKfsu Our Maxime Chemineau, Florian Castillo, Valentin Arramounet, Jean-Christophe Gilloteaux and Longitude Engineering's Lucas Mechinaud, each contributed to the research, which focuses on innovative mooring layouts using shared anchors and shared mooring lines 🔗 Results of the technical studies show that 👇🏼 ✳Shared anchor layouts are technically feasible, but do not improve the mooring system procurement costs due to the spacing constraint between each turbine. ✳ Sharing mooring lines at the farm level seems more promising due to the decrease in the amount of material used. This research is funded by the Horizon H2020 project Corewind, grant number 815083. The project focuses on cost reduction of floating wind technology through research and optimization of the mooring and anchoring systems, dynamic cables, as well as the improvement of installation, operation and maintenance activities.

☀️ As many of our colleagues enjoy their well deserved summer break, it's been a great time to reflect on all the exciting projects and events we have been a part of this year! ☀️ At the end of June, #Innosea, an #OWC company, attended the wrap-up session for #TrustPV, a flagship project to develop innovation in the field of #SolarPV performance and reliability. This week-long event was part of the final "General Assembly and Green Training Week" in Rome, organised by BayWa r.e. EMEA. ⚡🌍 It was a brilliant opportunity to network and discover the latest solar technologies that are redefining industry standards! Throughout the week our colleagues had the opportunity to, 🗣️ Organise Panel Sessions 💡 Present on the Projects' Results 👷♂️ Hold on-site Demonstrations 🏭 Visit Solar PV Plant under the Management of BayWa r.e. Richard Le Failler, an Innosea Senior Offshore Engineer, presented during the event, to spotlight some results from the past 4-year #Horizon2020-funded project. Highlighting, operation and maintenance challenges (O&M) related to #FloatingSolar, along with the instrumentation program performed on two floating solar farms in France. This high-quality course, provided by Caroline Naudin from Actinuum, will help our current and future project managers get the most out of our teams and continue to deliver expert analysis, consultancy, and engineering services for our clients. Similarly, we recently announced our 2024/25 Shadow Board, which is another scheme #ABLGroup have implemented to give non-executive colleagues an opportunity to develop beyond the confines of their current roles.
