💡 🚀 The incredible success of SpaceX, particularly the recovery of the #SuperHeavy booster during the fifth test flight of the #Starship rocket, has once again highlighted the growing dominance of American companies in the #space sector and its commercialization. The speed at which Elon Musk's company is innovating and completing successful missions is astonishing, leaving the world—and #Europe—facing a major challenge: significantly accelerating their plans and funding in the #space sector to keep up with this competitive pressure. Dominating space also means dominating numerous strategic fields: #communications, #observation, #security, #defense, #transportation, #agriculture, and more. To respond to this fierce competition, #Europe must increase its investments. This involves both rallying and rapidly mobilizing the efforts of the major historic European players on strategic projects, and enabling, through specialized funds (from venture capital to growth funds), the support of leaders emerging from the new players in the space industry (the #Spacetechs). By investing significantly more (in billions rather than hundreds of millions), these companies could accelerate their development and strengthen their position on the international stage. There is also the question of whether these companies should look to the East to boost their growth. Partnerships with emerging space countries like #India, #Korea, and #Japan could open up new opportunities and allow #Europe to diversify its technological collaborations. The stakes are high: it's not only about maintaining European competitiveness, but also ensuring its strategic autonomy in a sector that is already critical for the future. Le rachat d’actions par l’entreprise est un tour de passe-passe pour enrichir les actionnaires !!!!  Je suis l’actualité d’assez près et je m’étonne que pas un journaliste (y compris économique) n’ose remettre en question cette affirmation. Si une entreprise est possédée par 100 actionnaires, après le rachat de 10 actionnaires (et annulation des actions), la même entreprise sera possédée par 90 actionnaires. Donc chaque actionnaire aura un peu plus de parts de l’entreprise et se sera donc enrichi : CQFD. Mais entre-temps, l’entreprise se sera appauvrie puisqu’elle aura du puisé dans sa trésorerie pour payer les actionnaires vendeurs. Chaque actionnaire possède plus d’une entreprise appauvrie : c’est en fait un jeu à somme nulle : il n’y a strictement aucune création de valeur dans cette opération. Alors pourquoi une entreprise rachète ses actions ? Le management peut estimer que le cours de l’action (pour les entreprises cotées) est inférieur à la valeur réelle de l’entreprise. En rachetant ces actions, ils décident ainsi de faire un bon placement. C’est un pari sur l’avenir pris par le management et les actionnaires restant au capital. Une action n’est pas seulement un titre de propriété. C’est aussi un droit de vote à l’Assemblée Générale. Après le rachat, les actionnaires restants sont renforcés au capital et peuvent peser davantage dans les décisions de l’AG. Rappelons un fait :  Le capital d’une entreprise est une dette de l’entreprise vis-à-vis de ses actionnaires. C’est pour cela que le capital figure au passif du bilan. Racheter ses actions c’est se désendetter.
