Sonepar Finland has been awarded the Platinum rating for their development in sustainability in 2024 by the independent analysis company EcoVadis. Sonepar in Finland has been working with EcoVadis for some years now, to understand how best to improve the company’s impact on the planet and to teach customers how to do the same. “We reached this amazing result at Sonepar Finland with our steadfast and determined work, which we carried on with after our 2023 Gold assessment. Achieving the Platinum level is significant proof of responsible operations, and the rating is a big deal considering that only the top 1% of all assessed companies achieve it”, Logistics Director Lasse Sevonkari. “Given the fact that the EcoVadis rating system is so well-known here in Finland, the newly acquired Platinum rating gives us an upgraded opportunity to promote our commitment to sustainability and to showcase our achievement to customers and other stakeholders alike,” explained Tero Pippola, Quality & Sustainability Manager, Sonepar in Finland. Established in 1991 by Sonepar Board Chairman, Marie-Christine Coisne-Roquette, the Sonepar Junior Committee (SJC) is a program that develops people, ideas, proposals, and analysis on strategic topics set by Group, by bringing together associates from around the world 🌍 To this day, more than 350 Sonepar associates have participated in the program!
