On August 28, 2024, the GSA delegation met with CODINORM’s management in Cote d'Ivoire. Key topics included homologation processes for product approval, certification of individuals, harmonisation of textile regulations, and the review of cocoa quality standards. The meetings revealed that, despite their proximity, trade between Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire lags behind trade with regions such as Europe. Overall, the visit facilitated productive dialogue with CODINORM in the operationalisation of the MoU between the two organisations. It emphasised the importance of enhanced collaboration, streamlined processes, and mutual support to advance standardisation efforts and improve trade relations between Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire. Both organisations are committed to implementing the agreed-upon actions and strengthening their partnership moving forward.
