About us

Everyone has the right to dream and talent deserves opportunity. Right to Dream is a purpose-only football community who believe there is a better way to recognise and nurture emerging talent. Whilst talented individuals can be found all around us, it can be more difficult for some to discover the opportunities they deserve. We recognise where talent exists locally and open up opportunities for young people to fulfil their potential in football, in education and in life. Academies are where it all started in 1999, with our first Right to Dream football academy in Ghana boasting an innovative model nurturing potential. By developing and increasing our trailblazing academies, professional football clubs and education network, we have proudly launched the careers of 146 professional football players, equipped hundreds of our students with a first-class education and enabled further education opportunities and scholarships. We have big ambitions for the future focused on increasing impact, opportunities and inspiring further positive change within football. Powered by $120m of investment from The Mansour Group, our valued partners and 300 purpose-driven leaders, we put our Dreamers’ development first. When it’s a team effort, everybody wins. Euro ✅ Copa América ✅ Now, it’s time for the next generation 🔜 While some of the world’s best battled it out, our Right to Dream U16s were preparing for their debut journey at Gothia Cup 🇸🇪– the world's largest and most international youth football tournament. And today, they step onto the same pitches that helped launch the careers of talents like Ernest Nuamah and Simon Adingra, ready to forge their own path. ✨ 🏆 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘀: Sure, we've been crowned Gothia Cup champions seven times. But this is about more than winning. We prioritize growth and empowerment. And Gothia offers a chance for these young talents to push their limits, embrace new experiences, and become the best versions of themselves. 💪 🧠 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁 - 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿: As our coach, Benjamin Ajslev, puts it: "There are high expectations, but for me, it will always be about development. A growth mindset allows them to go into that state of being willing to learn.” 🌱 🤝 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀: This tournament isn't just about individual brilliance – it's about the power of the collective. It's a moment where our global community – players, coaches, staff, and fans from Ghana to Denmark to Egypt to the US and beyond – come together to support the next gen. A chance to forge unbreakable bonds and connect with the wider community. 🌟 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹: These young student-athletes are the next generation of talent. They are the future. And we can't wait to see them continue to unlock their full potential.

Right to Dream Egypt's First-Ever Graduating Class! 🚀 Empowering young talents to reach their full potential and chart their own paths is at the heart of what we do. ❤️ And the graduation of our first-ever class of student-athletes from the Egypt Academy is a milestone that echoes this commitment. 🎓🇪🇬 These four graduates - each with unique aspirations - reflect the diversity of the talent we nurture. 📚 Khalaf & Mazen are off to top US 🇺🇸 schools, blending academics with their passion for football. ⚽️Marwan & Nasser are ready to take their game to the next level at our International Academy. It's a moment that reflects the impact that opportunity and a shared commitment to excellence can have on young lives. But the impact doesn’t stop here. It ripples through communities, inspiring the next generation to dream big. ✨ Just like Right to Dream alumni Simon Adingra, who went from our International Academy to Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club, or Ousseni Bouda balancing pro football with a Stanford University degree, or Joy Okonye crushing it on & off the field at Brown University.👏 As Mohammed Wasfy, CEO of Right to Dream Egypt, puts it: “Right to Dream is transforming Egypt's football landscape. We’re confident these graduates will travel, learn, and achieve great things and return to support and give back to their communities and country, and that's the true heart of our mission." 🎙️ We're proud to be part of their journey, but we're even more excited about the future we're building together. 🌟

Did you know only 12 out of 32 coaches at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup™ were women? And only ONE of the 12 was African. 🌍 This disparity is exactly why we need programs like 'Coaching Queens'.👑 Launched in Ghana 🇬🇭 last year, 'Coaching Queens' - a collaboration between Right to Dream, The Powerhouse Project and Nike - empowered SIX women to level up their coaching careers through three months of hands - on training and mentorship. 🌟 Thank You, Gareth & Joe 🌟 After over two decades, we say goodbye to Gareth Henderby and Joe Mulberry, two instrumental figures in the Right to Dream story. 🚀 From the early days when Right to Dream was still taking shape in Tom Vernon's home to a global network of academies and pro clubs, Gareth and Joe have been with us every step of the way. Gareth was our First Volunteer and Employee #1. He has worn many hats within our community, from Coach to Technical Director to FC Nordsjaelland Academy Director, and even a stint as interim Managing Director. For the past seven years, he has been based in Denmark, continuously visiting and engaging with the global Right to Dream academies. His role as Managing Director of the International Academy paved the way for 30+ young talents to launch their pro careers, including the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Mikkel Damsgaard, and Simon Adingra. 🌍 ⚽ Joe, our Second Volunteer and Employee #3, was the mastermind behind our recruitment strategy, nurturing a cutting-edge recruitment methodology and network that enabled us to partner with top talents across our markets. 🔝 His strategic vision also helped us find the perfect European club for our expansion plans back in 2015 - FC Nordsjaelland. In recent years, he shifted his expertise to consulting on group strategy and developing strategic investment models. Their impact? Immeasurable. 🌟 From nurturing talent to shaping futures, Gareth and Joe have left a lasting mark on Right to Dream, touching the lives of generation of student-athletes, from our academies to the fields of the Champions League and World Cup and the halls of US high schools and Ivy League universities. Thank you, Gareth and Joe. The Right to Dream story wouldn't have been the same without you! 👏 🙌
