Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting expert trainers from the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) at one of our projects for a series of safety training sessions and live demonstrations with our team and partners. These sessions emphasised the importance of thorough planning, risk assessment, and strict adherence to safety protocols, regardless how minor they may seem. The training served as a valuable reminder that safety is a shared responsibility. It depends on strong leadership, proactive supervision, and active operator involvement at every stage of planning and execution. This initiative is one of many safety-focused programs we run throughout the year across all our projects. Each session contributes to our growing record of incident-free hours, reinforcing our unwavering commitment to safety and wellbeing. One of the greatest rewards of training new apprentices in the construction industry is the possibility to be part of meaningful change by creating opportunities for individuals to start fresh, regardless of their professional background or age. We take pride in being an inclusive company that contributes to a more diverse and skilled workforce in the industry. Designer Group are a Charter Champion as part of our work with Employment and Youth Engagement, Intreo and Future Building. In this instance we were invited to visit Baldoyle Training Centre to meet the students participating in the Pre Apprenticeship Skills sampling course, which helps them develop new skills and explore potential career paths. This visit gave us the opportunity to share valuable insights into the career development and professional growth opportunities available through our Training Academy, as well as personal experiences from our apprentices.
