To help Ukrainian women rebuild their lives, the UN Development Programme (UNDP) partnered with the Projector Institute, a leading Ukrainian EdTech institution, to provide 5,000 displaced women with education and career opportunities in STEM and creative fields. With funding from the Government of Sweden, the initiative has already granted 40 women access to UI/UX and graphic design courses, with 20 taking their first steps toward new careers. This aligns with NatAlli’s mission to create a mentoring program for well-educated Ukrainian women, helping them become entrepreneurs or innovators. We’re building an online community where women can connect, share knowledge, and support each other, fostering collaboration across career stages. At the current pace of progress, it could take until 2158—five generations—to achieve full gender parity, according to the World Economic Forum. That’s why this year’s International Women’s Day theme, "Accelerate Action," is a powerful call to address the systemic barriers and biases that women face every day. It’s about creating momentum, driving urgency, and taking bold steps to ensure women everywhere have equal opportunities.   Gender equality benefits everyone; it's not just a women’s issue. It fuels innovation, strengthens economies, and builds healthier, more resilient societies.   This International Women’s Day, we honour the strength, resilience, and brilliance of women worldwide. It’s a day to celebrate new beginnings, much like the name NatAlli itself, inspired by Natalia, derived from the Latin natalis, meaning ‘birthday,’ ‘start,’ or ‘sunrise.’   Inspired by extraordinary women like Nataliia Velychko, NatAlli is helping these women rebuild their lives and make meaningful contributions to their communities and economies.   𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲!

This article from The Conversation UK highlights the struggles of Ukrainian women refugees, who, despite their high levels of education, often find themselves as single heads of households after fleeing to safety. While their qualifications position them well for employment, they face significant challenges in rebuilding their lives.   At NatAlli, we’re stepping up to help. Through our mentoring program, we aim to empower these women to become successful entrepreneurs or innovators within existing companies. Our vision is to support them in rebuilding Ukraine’s economy and society.   Despite their qualifications, which position them well for employment, they face barriers such as language gaps, unfamiliar job markets, and the emotional toll of displacement.   The article emphasises the need for targeted support to help these women integrate into new communities and rebuild their lives. Today, on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we honour the brilliance, resilience, and innovation of women who have transformed the world through science. From Marie Curie to Katherine Johnson, their legacies remind us that curiosity knows no gender.   At NatAlli, we are creating a mentoring program to empower well-educated Ukrainian women to become successful entrepreneurs or innovators within existing companies. We are building an online community where women can connect, share knowledge, and learn from one another.
