Ronan Group Real Estate (RGRE) is delighted to announce that our residential development, Spencer Place, has been certified BREEAM In-Use Excellent, and has secured the highest sustainability accolade (79%) for a residential building in Ireland. Spencer Place continues to be expertly managed by RGRE’s residential platform, Libra Living, who played a key role in accumulating and organising the information and data needed for the BREEAM application. Ronan Group would like to say a big thank you to CBRE Ireland for working with us on our BREEAM application, and to our contractor for this project PJ Hegarty & Sons for delivering this building to such a high standard. In February, our teams across Ireland and the UK took on the annual Steps Challenge, clocking an incredible 32,111,592 steps! That’s the equivalent of walking from Dublin to Sydney and halfway back! A special shoutout to Eoghan Quigley, our top stepper, who logged a staggering 1,150,083 steps — the same distance as walking from Dublin to Paris! The competition was friendly and fierce at times; however, this initiative was all about teamwork, motivation, and improving overall health and wellbeing. We’re investing £140m to add eight new aircraft gates to our North Terminal, which will see 7.5m passengers use the new gates each year.    Designed with sustainability at its core, the project is on track to: 🌍 Reduce carbon by around 52% from original design 🌍 Achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ 🌍 Save 12,000 busy journeys on the airfield every year   This work forms part of our plans to increase capacity and boost resilience, as we stand ready to deliver our Northern Runway plan.   Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/e8Y4krHy

In celebration of International Women’s Day, our Empowering Women in Construction ERG hosted a webinar with bestselling author Dr. Katriona O’Sullivan last week. From overcoming homelessness and teenage motherhood to becoming an award-winning academic and best-selling author, Katriona’s journey highlighted the power of mentorship, support, and education.  “We have to think about the conversations, the community, and how can we make sure that women can be women while working in construction”, shared Katriona, emphasising the importance of highlighting construction career paths to women and girls and creating a culture where women can thrive, something that PJ Hegarty is committed to.
