EdelGive Foundation is a grant-making organisation, working towards expanding the ecosystem of philanthropy in India by funding and supporting high-calibre, small to mid-sized organisations working towards empowering children through education, women through social and economic empowerment and vulnerable communities through resilient livelihoods. Our unique philanthropic model places at the centre of grant-making by providing the initial grants and by managing funding from other institutional and corporate partners, at zero cost. Our grants are used for both financial and non-financial needs of the organisations we support. Apart from adding capacities and scale, grants are used to build operating capabilities of these organisations. EdelGive Foundation believes that impact should be targeted and exponential in nature. Every contribution of EdelGive, pooled with contributions of other large organisations, and supported by capacity building, should yield asymmetric impact for our organisations.
Over the years, EdelGive Foundation has been recognized for its efforts across platforms:
- National CSR Award, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India for Excellence in CSR
- Vidya Shah, CEO, EdelGive Foundation, was awarded the BFSI Woman Award of the year.
- Edelweiss won the FICCI CSR Awards 2015-16 under the category of Women Empowerment, for EdelGive’s work with CORO.
- Won iVolunteer Award 2017 for Best Employee Engagement Program
- Awarded by CNBC-TV 18 for ‘Advancing Financial Inclusion by Channelizing CSR Budgets into Financial Aids’

The social sector has witnessed an unprecedented rise in collaborative funds over the last 15 years, marking a pivotal shift in philanthropy.
Real, lasting change goes beyond action – it is defined by the scale of transformation and impact achieved. And in a country as vast and diverse as India, philanthropic collaboration with the government isn’t just beneficial – it’s essential.
At EdelGive Foundation, we recognized this early on. In 2016, we launched our first-ever collaborative – The Collaborators for Transforming Education (CTE). Today, standing at our eighth collaborative, we carry forward the invaluable lessons from our earliest efforts.
In this journey, we have seen the power of starting small, establishing baselines, and building from experience - a model that has now shaped some of India's most impactful collaboratives, such as CTE and the 10to19 Dasra Adolescents Collaborative.
Neera Nundy and I have reflected on these experiences in an article that explores the building blocks of effective collaborations, the role of government partnerships, and the lessons that can serve as a roadmap for others looking to create systemic impact.
I invite you to read our reflections and explore how strategic collaboration can unlock true potential in philanthropy.
