NACG-EVAC India Jharkhand Secretariat, Bal Kalyan Sangh organized a State Level Consultation focusing on crucial themes such as Child Participation, Child Labour, Child Marriage, Child Sexual Abuse & Online Safety, Corporal Punishment, and Child Trafficking. Cross-cutting issues including Children with Disabilities, Gender Equality, and Children and Climate Change were also addressed. The event included Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with children, providing them with a platform to actively share their insights and experiences. It saw physical participation from 25 children and government stakeholders like CWC Khunti, with around 25 CSOs and 50 children joining virtually from various districts of Jharkhand. We were honored to have Mr. Rajesh Prasad, Joint Labour Commissioner, Government of Jharkhand, Mr. Vikas Kumar, Deputy Secretary, Jharkhand State Child Protection Society, Mr. Sanjay Gupta Chairperson, NACG-EVAC India, and Mr. Vikas Dodrajka, Member, JSPSCR, share their best wishes and insights on areas needing intervention. The session was on ensuring the well-being of the children. On Day 4 of #SSWWeek, we celebrate the efforts of Srinivas from Sheikhpura, Bihar. As a dedicated social worker, Srinivas has facilitated access for over 100 children to the Government Sponsorship Scheme. He has also conducted extensive training sessions on the importance of family strengthening and family-based alternative care for Child Welfare and Police Officers, child protection functionaries, Child Care Institution functionaries, NGO personnel, and PRI members across the district.
