Happy International Women’s Day 2025! This year’s theme, "Accelerate Action," reminds us that gender equality won’t happen on its own—we must push forward with urgency. Across the world, millions of girls still face barriers to education, safety, and economic opportunity. Organizations like PAL Network are driving change by: • Using Data for Action – Working with governments and partners to improve foundational learning for all children. • Advocating for Better Policies – Conducting citizen-led assessments to ensure every child has access to quality education. But there’s still more to do. On this day, let’s commit to: • Ensuring Equal Education – Every girl deserves a chance to learn and succeed. • Ending Gender-Based Violence – Safe spaces and stronger protections for women and girls are a must. • Boosting Women’s Economic Power – Fair pay and equal opportunities should be the norm, not the exception. By taking action today, we create a better future for all women and girls. Let’s accelerate the change! #IWD2025 #EducationForAll #DataForFoundationalLearning

Tomorrow, the world marks International Women’s Day 2025 under the theme “Accelerate Action.” This is a powerful call to push forward efforts toward gender equality, ensuring that all women and girls have the opportunities they deserve. Quality education remains one of the most effective ways to break cycles of inequality. Across the Global South, millions of children struggle with foundational learning, limiting their future opportunities. Organizations like PAL Network are working to improve education systems by generating data and evidence to drive action for all children. • As we prepare for #IWD2025, let’s reflect on the urgent need for action, 129 million girls worldwide remain out of school. • In Sub-Saharan Africa, girls are less likely to complete secondary education than boys. • Foundational learning lays the groundwork for future empowerment. Education is a right, not a privilege. Let’s work together to ensure every child—regardless of gender—has access to the education they need to thrive. #AccelerateAction #IWD2025 #EducationForAll

In the ASER 2024 report, Rukmini Banerji, CEO of Pratham Education Foundation, explores the challenges and opportunities in implementing the foundational stage envisioned by NEP 2020. The path ahead is clear: invest early, invest well—because a strong start in pre-primary and early grades determines a child’s entire learning journey. The foundational stage is India’s chance to leap forward, but only if we connect policy to practice effectively. Are we moving fast enough to ensure every child gets a strong start? 📖 Read the full article in the ASER 2024 report 💬 Drop your thoughts👇
