Air Astana Joins IATA CO2 Connect Air Astana has set a new benchmark for sustainability in the region by becoming the first Central Asian and CIS carrier to participate in the International Air Transport Association (IATA) CO2 Connect initiative. IATA CO2 Connect is an emissions calculator developed with real airline data based on industry- approved recommended practices. It enables tracking and analyzing the carbon footprint of each flight. “Aviation’s future relies on collective efforts to address climate challenges. As a member of IATA CO2 Connect, we are proud to collaborate with global airlines to drive meaningful change,” said Peter Foster, CEO of Air Astana. Air Astana will join 50 other airlines which are already part of IATA CO2 Connect by providing actual operational data to further enhance CO2 emissions calculations, contributing to the industry’s goal of achieving Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050.

The 58th aircraft in the fleet! The Air Astana fleet has been replenished with a new Airbus A320neo, delivered directly from the manufacturing plant in Toulouse. This is our tenth Airbus A320neo and has a cabin configuration of 16 seats in business class and 132 seats in economy class. The new Airbus will operate on routes across Kazakhstan and to neighbouring cities, namely Tashkent, Baku, Tbilisi, Dushanbe and others. Where would you like to fly to on a new plane?

New flight from Almaty to Mumbai Air Astana is celebrating 20 years of connecting Kazakhstan and India by expanding its services with a new Almaty-Mumbai route launching on 20th April . “With the Indian economy growing strongly, Air Astana is delighted to launch services to Mumbai, a vibrant and flourishing metropolis driven by trade, finance and enterprise. Business and leisure travellers will now be able to experience the excellence of Air Astana’s in-services when flying between Kazakhstan’s and India’s most commercial cities.” - says Peter Foster, Chief Executive at Air Astana. Flights to Mumbai will be operated using Airbus family aircraft on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
