We are thrilled to announce that Prof. Dr. Ahmed S. M. Ahmed, acclaimed researcher and Senior Coastal Engineer at Dar’s Geotechnical and Heavy Civil Engineering Department, has been named a Fellow by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Board of Direction! Dr Ahmed, who holds a board-certified coastal engineering certification from Academy of Coastal, Ocean, Port & Navigation Engineers (ACOPNE), has been serving as an international trustee on the ACOPNE board of trustees since October 2022. Dar is immensely proud of Dr Ahmed’s commitment to upholding ACOPNE’s highest engineering standards and their mission to recognise and certify qualified professionals in the field of coastal, ocean, port, and navigation engineering.

A group of Dar engineers have been recognised by the Arab League for their exemplary contributions to the development of Africa for over 30 years. Dar has supported Africa’s growth for more than 55 years and has played a crucial role in transformative projects across various essential sectors – from buildings and transportation infrastructure to water and energy – driving progress and growth across the continent. Dar Pune recently celebrated International Yoga Day highlighting the global significance of yoga! Engaging yoga sessions were held to demonstrate the various benefits of this ancient practice. The event also honoured the spirit of yoga with awards and recognised four outstanding participants ─ Hemant Molawade, Priya Sharma, Ashwini Jadhao, and Swapnil Bendkhale ─ for their dedication and enthusiasm. Overall, an incredible opportunity to come together and celebrate wellness, unity, reflection, and personal growth.

More than 120 performers will take the stage for an electrifying performance at the USJ Choir’s “Symphonic Rock” concert on Saturday July 13 and Sunday July 14, 2024, at Casino Du Liban. The concert will feature a selection of well-known rock classics of legendary rock bands, reimagined with custom-made symphonic arrangements by talented composers Ayad & Sary Khalifé, and Vincenzo De Filippo. The Choir will be joined by soloist Kristian Abouanni, as well as a rock band and 45-piece orchestra led by the masterful Conductor Yasmina Sabbah. A matinée performance will also take place on July 14, the proceeds of which will be exclusively donated to the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon. Dar is proud to be supporting this unique and exciting event that aligns with our commitment to support local artists and celebrate the vibrant musical scene in Lebanon. Rwanda’s renowned Amahoro Stadium is set to be inaugurated once again on July 4, 2024 – after an extensive renovation venture, launched in 2022, transformed the historic stadium into a world-class venue, capable of hosting global sporting events. The renovated stadium has received approval from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), certifying that it now meets international standards, including those required to host FIFA matches – and signalling a new era for Rwanda’s sports scene. We're thrilled to announce that Dar has been chosen by Kuwait’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) for a landmark design and construction supervision role at Kuwait International Airport, with the contract agreement signed on June 11th, 2024, with DGCA’s President, HE Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Sabah.  Over the next 5 years, we'll embark on transforming Kuwait's main aviation hub with our team’s specialisd expertise, focusing on:   * Upgrading the central runway and taxiways: Stretching to 4,300 meters, meeting ICAO code 4F with CAT III B precision approach.   * Expanding the cargo apron: Enlarging to 1.5 km² for 77 aircraft stands, ready for future logistics.   * Establishing a VVIP Apron: Exclusive stands and areas for distinguished guests.   * Developing enhanced airport support infrastructure: Boosting capacity for transportation and utilities, preparing for future expansion.   This significant project is a testament to Dar's global leadership in the aviation industry and our continued impact in Kuwait's aviation development.   Discover more: https://shorturl.at/emdvN
