Vopak HY1 2024 results -Vopak reports continued strong results and announces capacity expansions in industrial terminals.

Our CEO Dick Richelle participated in the CEO Session of the recent World Economic Forum event in Tokyo, Japan, around the theme “Accelerating Industrial Transformation and Decarbonization in Energy and Transport.” International guests from multiple sectors and industries attended this important energy transformation event, discussing key enablers on how to foster effective energy transition in Japan, shaping the country's future. Dick Richelle elaborated on how Vopak, by leveraging its expertise, global network and independent status, can aggregate needs across sectors, maximizing economies of scale. Leveraging Vopak's 50 years of experience in operating major industrial terminals worldwide, including 20 years of expertise in ammonia terminals, Vopak is well-equipped to contribute. Vopak creates value by providing shared infrastructure and repurposing existing assets in areas where land is limited. Instead of single-use terminals, we advocate for the redevelopment of critical energy infrastructure for multiple purposes, driving efficiency and long-term competitiveness. Vopak can also support in developing decarbonisation solutions for Japanese emitters, like for example building CO2 storage infrastructure to aggregate CO2 from industrial clusters for export to destinations. Great work by our colleagues from the Vopak America Women’s Network! They recently sponsored a fantastic “Plant a Tree with Me” project near the Vopak Deer Park Terminal. In conjunction with Trees For Houston, a non-profit dedicated to planting, protecting, and promoting trees, they planted 16 oak trees at Freedom Park in the town of Morgan’s Point. Way to go team!
