🤝 Last week, F/YACHTING and Water Revolution Foundation co-hosted a unique workshop in Austria for superyacht designers, project managers, and shipyard representatives: The Future of Sustainable Design. The full-day programme enabled deep and honest conversations to define new collaborations to address and anticipate the evolving design needs in the industry: 🔹future-proofing design: choosing better materials with an LCA perspective, 🔹measuring the responsibility of our environmental impact as an industry, 🔹defining new concepts around sustainable luxury and how we design 🔹going "Beyond Teak". 💡 Did you know that 80% of environmental impact is determined after 20% of the design process is complete? In this intimate setting, Water Revolution Foundation also launched the new chapter of the Designers' Protocol: Alternative Decking Solutions, co-written by our Environmental Expert Awwal Idris and Teakdecking Systems, Inc.. A new era for environmental yachting – YETI software has officially launched! Last week marked a major milestone as the Yacht Environmental Transparency Index (YETI) tool was unveiled to the industry. At The Superyacht Forum, attendees enthusiastically received the premiere demo of YETI, presented by a panel of industry experts: our Technical Director Hanna Dąbrowska, vice-chair & initiator Dr. Vienna Eleuteri, Edmund Beckett (Burgess), Enrico Della Valentina (MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands), & Matteo Magherini (RINA). The official launch took place during METSTRADE, introducing the groundbreaking software that provides a clear direction, shows the effect of potential solutions, and offers valuable education to users while serving as a robust risk-analysis tool. Even if you missed these sessions, it was hard to miss the YETI making his presence known at the show...
