Steam: The God of industrial production you never knew you worshiped In the heart of nearly every industrial process, there’s a silent force driving production: steam. Whether you’re manufacturing food, paper, or chemicals, steam powers the efficiency and productivity of industries worldwide. But did you know that this critical energy source is often one of the least optimized? At Kyoto Group, we’re changing that. Our thermal energy storage solution, Heatcube, helps industries store excess renewable energy and convert it into steam, reducing energy waste, lowering emissions, and cutting costs. Join us in harnessing the power of steam with a more sustainable, efficient future in mind. 🌍⚡ 🔗 Read more about the impact of steam and how we’re making it greener: https://lnkd.in/dj97E48t #Sustainability #EnergyEfficiency #ThermalEnergy #IndustrialInnovation

We disconnect the time power is made from when it is used, for heat
Om oss
In school we were told that the sun has enormous amounts of energy. It beams 10 000 times more energy than we can use at us, every day -for free. So there really is no shortage of green energy. Except at night, and when the wind isn't blowing. Almost all industrial processes use thermal energy. And almost all that heat is generated from burning stuff, increasing the CO2 in our atmosphere. We founded Kyoto to develop solutions to capture and manage the abundant energy from renewable energy sources and apply it to reduce the CO2 footprint for industrial process heat. 🔌 The shutdown of the Ratcliffe-on-Soar plant in Nottinghamshire marked the end of 142 years of coal-powered electricity in the UK. This historic moment positioned Britain as the first G7 nation to completely eliminate coal from its power generation mix. But how did the UK reach zero coal power? Over the past 12 years, the UK saw a steep decline in coal energy, achieving its first coal-free electricity day in 2017. Even with the challenges posed by rising gas prices following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the trend toward eliminating coal held strong. Thanks to a combination of financial incentives and policy decisions, 25 coal plants have either closed or transitioned to other energy sources since 2000—with 15 closures since 2021. A new report from Ember outlines the five critical policy steps that facilitated the UK's rapid coal exit. These included setting decarbonization targets, introducing carbon pricing, and implementing stricter emissions regulations for new power stations. The UK's actions have not only drastically reduced its carbon footprint but also paved the way for renewables to thrive. What can other nations take from this success story? 💡 Read more from Euronews on how the UK became a global leader in phasing out coal and shifting toward a greener energy future: https://lnkd.in/gHd6fNaF #CoalPhaseOut #RenewableEnergy #CarbonReduction #GreenEnergy #CleanEnergy #ClimateAction

💰 The £1 billion question: Why is renewable energy being curtailed? In 2022, the UK spent a staggering £1 billion on curtailing renewable energy—money that could have been used for housing, healthcare, or education. Why? Because despite producing plenty of clean energy, we lack efficient grid and storage solutions.🔋 From wind turbines standing idle to old gas plants firing up, the financial and environmental cost is immense. This issue isn't unique to the UK—Europe faces similar challenges. As Kyoto Group CEO Camilla Nilsson highlights, we need smarter energy management and better storage solutions to avoid wasting valuable renewable resources. 💡🌍 Dive into the details and see why the right strategies are crucial for a sustainable future: https://lnkd.in/gjmb6G37 #RenewableEnergy #SustainableSolutions #EnergyStorage
