Building resilience, transforming lives! Floods in 2022 left thousands homeless in Balochistan. With generous support from the Government of Germany through KfW and in collaboration with Economic Affairs Division, Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Planning Development and Special Initiatives and Government of Balochistan, #UNDPinPakistan is catalyzing recovery by reconstructing houses for the flood affectees in Quetta district. 40 disaster and climate-resilient homes handed over to the beneficiaries — 760 more to come! Thousands of people are benefiting from this crucial step towards sustainable recovery & long-term resilience.

#UNDPinPakistan with support from the Government of China’s Global Development and South-South Cooperation Fund and the Government of Balochistan, has launched an initiative to equip 4,000 men and women in Balochistan with market-aligned skills and toolkits — from carpentry to agribusiness. Why it’s strategic:  ✔️ Tackles the twin challenge of poverty & unemployment through economic inclusion.  ✔️ Strengthens local capacity to drive sustainable growth.  ✔️ Partnerships that prioritize community-led solutions.  By bridging skills gaps and aligning with market demand, we’re not just creating jobs — we’re building futures.
