Our Director, Pauline Erica Tay, served as one of the three judges on the esteemed panel. Joined by representatives from National Healthcare Group, National University Health System and SingHealth, we had the privilege of witnessing cutting-edge solutions that have the potential to shape the #futureofhealthcare. We are thrilled to announce that 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗖 was declared as the MedTech Actuator Origin 2024 Winner 🏆! LumiTRAC is pioneering the development of a surgical retractor for minimally invasive breast surgeries, enabling safe and efficient dynamic retraction – a game changer for #surgicalinnovation! Last week, National Health Innovation Centre (NHIC) organised an insightful workshop on #IPstrategies for #healthtech assets. Colleagues from Public Healthcare Institutions (PHIs) and Medical Schools who are passionate about building strong #patentportfolios for successful #commercialisation joined us for this engaging session. Ivan Goh, CEO of QuantumTX Pte Ltd, shared QuantumTX’s remarkable journey as a spinout from National University Health System highlighting the critical role of early engagements with #TechnologyTransfer Offices (TTOs) in shaping a robust ➡️ IP strategy Representatives Tony Lan and Ian Goh from Yusarn Audrey provided an expansive overview of IP strategies that extend beyond patents. 𝗘𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 & 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 2024 marks a significant milestone for the National Health Innovation Centre (NHIC)) & the DxD Hub - Diagnostics Development Hub as both celebrate a decade 1️⃣0️⃣ of transformative achievements. To commemorate this, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)🤝 this week to formalise and strengthen our ongoing collaboration in advancing innovations in #ivds, including point-of-care devices, next-generation sequencing, and #digitalhealth solutions. This partnership aims to leverage our combined strengths to bring more of such innovations to market, scale them for clinical implementation, and ultimately improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes 🏥 A big thank you to Keng Liang Cheng (CEO, TIIM Healthcare) for sharing the journey of building a 🚀 start-up and navigating the healthtech landscape. 🚀 Aevice Health, one of our selected I2Adopt partner companies has secured US$7M to expand in the US, Japan & Singapore in a Seed Plus round funding led by Coronet Ventures, the Singapore-based venture unit of Cedars-Sinai Technology Ventures. The round was also supported by East Ventures & SEEDS Capital. Aevice Health recently obtained approvals in the US & Singapore for AeviceMD, a smart wearable stethoscope for #remotemonitoring of #chronicrespiratorydiseases.
