🤖 Singapore scales new heights as global hub for robotics innovation RoboNexus, a new accelerator programme has been launched to fast-track promising Singapore-based robotics startups and SMEs onto the global stage. Minister Tan See Leng officiated the new programme at RoboSG!, a biennial flagship event hosted by the National Robotics Programme (NRP). As Singapore strengthens its position as a global robotics hub, initiatives like RoboNexus are equipping Singapore-based robotics companies with the mentorship, networks, and market access needed to scale internationally. Since its establishment, NRP has played a pivotal role in strengthening Singapore’s robotics ecosystem. Through initiatives like RoboCluster, it has brought together researchers, developers, and industry leaders to solve industry-wide challenges, and is driving robotics adoption in advanced manufacturing, aviation, and facilities management. Singapore now ranks second globally in robot density, with robots per 10,000 workers increasing from 488 in 2016 to 770 in 2024. With programmes like RoboNexus empowering local startups and SMEs such as KABAM Robotics and dConstruct Robotics to scale internationally, Singapore continues to cement its position as a global hub for robotics innovation. This year’s RoboSG! also featured over 75 cutting-edge robots across 65 booths, uniting industry leaders, policymakers, and researchers to explore real-world robotics applications.
