  • UOL reported a 13% increase in attributable profit before fair value and other gains (operating PATMI) to $314.2 million for FY24. The increase was due to the strong performance of all business segments. Net attributable profit (PATMI) declined 49% to $358.2 million as compared with FY23. The decline was due to the absence of a large one-time gain from the sale of PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road in October 2023. Group pre-tax profit before fair value and other gains was up 12% to $533.8 million as compared with FY23, owing to higher operating profit from property investments and hotel operations, higher finance income, and lower share of losses from associated and joint venture companies. Arising from the stronger operating PATMI, the Board has proposed a first and final dividend of $0.18 per share for the financial year ended 31 December 2024. On 27 February 2025, the panel comprising UOL Group Chief Executive Liam Wee Sin, Singapore Land Group Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Eu, PPHG Chief Executive Officer Choe Peng Sum, UOL Chief Financial Officer Ng Tiang Poh Eric, UOL Chief Operating Officer Neo Soon Hup, and UOL Chief Investment Officer Shirley Ng, briefed about 50 journalists, analysts, and staff in-person on the results. Mr Liam said: “We recorded a good set of results across all business segments in 2024. Despite ongoing uncertainty in the global economy, geopolitical tensions, and the unpredictable trade and policy changes, we remain cautiously optimistic for the year ahead. “Delivering quality products has been a strong focus and key driver of our success. We will unveil the private launch of UPPERHOUSE at Orchard Boulevard in mid-2025, followed by the Holland Drive development in the third quarter of 2025, both in highly sought-after and prestigious locations,” he said. 👉More on UOL’s FY24 financial results at: https://lnkd.in/dv3-EtHn #UOLGroup #SingLand #PPHG #UOLsubsidiaries Singapore Land Group Limited Pan Pacific Hotels Group

  • On 18 January 2025, the Group hosted a celebration at PARKROYAL on Beach Road to recognise the achievements of children and youth from ComLink+ @ Jurong West who took part in the UOL-PPHG Community Uplift Programme over the past year. The event was graced by Mr Desmond Lee, Minister-in-charge of Social Services Integration and Adviser to West Coast Grassroots Organisations. This year, the Programme will expand its support to include weekly Mathematics tuition for more than 65 primary and secondary school children and youth, amounting to $100,000. In addition, the Group will sponsor regular weekly enrichment sessions for primary and secondary school children, empowering ComLink+ students to pursue their interest in sports, art and music. Speaking to about 200 guests, Minister Lee thanked UOL and Pan Pacific Hotels Group for their steadfast support for ComLink+. He said: “The UOL-PPHG Community Uplift Programme is a unique model that showcases how strong partnership between the Government, corporates and the community can make a big impact in the community. By providing opportunities for learning and growth, the programme empowers children living in rental housing to learn new skills, build their confidence, and pursue their dreams. I am encouraged to see how the programme has grown over the past two years to enrich the lives of our ComLink+ families.” As part of the pilot for sponsored regular enrichment classes, nine-year-olds Emily and Kylie from ComLink+ benefitted in the second half of 2024. Emily’s art courses have enhanced her communication and perspective, while Kylie’s badminton training improved her decision-making and boosted her self-confidence. UOL and PPHG piloted a year-long culinary arts programme with ComLink+ for 20 youth aged 13 to 18, where they learned cooking, baking and pastry-making under the guidance of PPHG chefs. The well-received programme increased participants' confidence in helping at home. Building on its success, the Group will introduce regular sessions for those committed to pursuing culinary interests. PPHG Executive Director, Sustainability Partnerships, Lifestyle & Asset Wee Wei Ling said: “We are grateful to walk this journey with them, offering support as they strive to create meaningful opportunities for their children. These families remind us that success is not just about individual achievements but about the collective effort of a community working together to uplift one another.” This year’s celebration recognised three exemplary ComLink+ families for their progress and growth, new UOL mall tenants and partners for supporting activities in 2024, and six UOL and PPHG volunteers for their dedication. ➡️Read about our expansion efforts here: https://lnkd.in/gq63Ns_X ➡️Watch this video to learn about the 2024 UOL-PPHG Community Uplift Programme events: https://lnkd.in/gPqCVPR2

  • As we step into 2025, we reflect on meaningful initiatives that made a difference. In the spirit of festive giving, UOL Corporate Communications, Investor Relations & Sustainability, Marketing Communications and PPHG Sustainability Partnerships & Asset teams organised several engaging activities that brought joy to the community. Let’s keep this momentum going and continue to do good in the year ahead! On 30 Nov and 1 Dec 2024, UOL sponsored the fourth art jamming series at United Square, featuring talented ART:DIS artist Abraham Koh. Living with dysphasia, a speech disorder and central processing challenges, he is a drawing and painting specialist. He also won the Merit award in the Emerging Artist Category (Closed) at the inaugural UOL X ART:DIS Art Prize 2023. Abraham facilitated four pin badge design art jamming sessions over two days, attended by over 60 participants. One of the workshop participants, Elana Ng, 13, said: “It’s interesting to create my own pin and do art with others, admiring each other’s designs. Abraham is patient and tells us how to do simple versions of his drawings, which are very pretty!” This was the 25-year-old artist’s first experience conducting a workshop. He shared: “I learned a lot from ART:DIS on conducting the sessions, how to express ideas and sense of colours to the children. I want to improve in communicating with them. One child told me that my artworks are the best he’d ever seen, and a parent commented on how beautiful they are. These moments made me feel energised and happy. I am thankful to UOL for the opportunity.” The December school holidays were extra special for ComLink+ participants with two activities. On 14 Dec 2024, 71 ComLink+ children and families, with 23 UOL and PPHG volunteers, gathered at SuperBowl SAFRA Toa Payoh for an afternoon of high-energy bowling. For some, it was their first time bowling, making the event truly memorable. Mr Desmond Lee, Minister-in-Charge of Social Services Integration, graced the event and mingled with attendees. The fun continued on 18 Dec 2024, when 16 children took part in an introductory robotics session sponsored by The Lab, KINEX. Using block programming and the LEGO SPIKE app, they teamed up in pairs to control their robotic cars, igniting curiosity and creativity. After the session, the children enjoyed lunch sponsored by Burger King and received goodie bags to take home. As part of the mall-wide UOL Gives Back Campaign, over 130 children from low-income families had their holiday wishes come true. Shoppers, colleagues and tenants from UOL malls contributed generously to fulfilling the requests of children from Care Corner Student Care Centres and Singapore Red Cross Young Hearts. The children's eyes lit up with joy as they received their presents in Dec 2024. These heartwarming initiatives brought smiles to everyone involved, spreading the joy of the season. A big thank you to our partners for making these experiences so memorable!
