Major milestone for Aquanzo!!! We have completed and shipped our Mobile Unit to our partner's site (Boortmalt). Every year, billions of L of nutrient rich liquid byproduts go down the drain from multiple industries. We are now demonstrating that some of these liquid feedstock can be used to produce marine ingredients and move one step closer towards large scale production of marine ingredients while upcycling problematic feedstocks. Thanks for the support of Innovate UK, BBSRC, CENSIS, Boortmalt and all our investors. #SaveTheOcean, #FarmMarineIngredients, #Startups, #Innovation, #BlueFood, #OceanTech, #AquaTech
About us
Aquanzo is a marine protein farming company that challenges the exploitation of the ocean to produce marine ingredients for the aquaculture industry. This is achievable by farming Zooplankton, the natural super ingredient, industrially on land. Aquanzo’s mission is to domesticate and farm Artemia as a feed, at low environmental footprint, for optimal fish and shrimp nutrition. Leveraging agricultural by products and state of the art technologies we produce a high value marine protein source, and help make the aquaculture industry more sustainable. We’ll be producing our first products this year to test with potential partners before scaling to industrial pilot scale. Please get in touch for info on partnership, investment or just to chat about our approach to produce marine proteins without harming the Ocean.

It was a pleasure to the invited to The Scottish Parliament by Richard Lochhead, MSP, Minister for Small Business, Innovation, Tourism and Trade at Scottish Parliament, together with David Ross (Agri-EPI Centre), Helen Dundas (Edinburgh Innovations), Toby Parkes (Rhizocore Technologies) and Thomas Farrugia (Beta Bugs Limited). We discussed the Scottish AgriTech sector and how to create synergises between the different stakeholders. Scotland is a great place for entrepreneurship and AgriTech.

Very honoured to be featured on The Herald Scotland front page and website. Aquanzo is developing a novel farming system to grow marine ingredients (tiny shrimps called artemia) on land, at scale, using agricultural and industrial byprodcuts to support a sustainable development for aquaculture. This project will develop a mobile system to upcycle, on site, byproducts from different industries into high quality marine ingredients. https://lnkd.in/e4tnB9x2 #SaveTheOcean, #FarmMarineIngredients #Startups #Innovation #BlueFood #OceanTech #AquaTech

How can marine ingredients farming help address the fish food shortage? A conversation with Remi Gratacap of Aquanzo 🔉 “The solution to the problem of the aquafeed industry is to produce more marine ingredients without harming the ocean.” Remi Gratacap. 🌊 Aquaculture amongst other animal feeds will need two times more marine ingredients by 2040. #aquaculture #aquafeed #artemia #innovation https://lnkd.in/eqqJYNhh
