Our Head of Social Impact, Karen Nolan, PhD, was in Newcastle yesterday to talk about how we have supported the Northumbria University, Higher Education Without Barriers programme. As part of the social impact plans for our development Northumbria Health and Care Academy, we have supported four nursing and midwifery students, from #Cramlington with bursaries to relieve financial pressure caused by the cost of living crisis. Karen met one of the recipients yesterday to hear, first hand, the impact our support has had. #BTS

Last week we held a wellbeing breakfast at our head office in #Altrincham 🥐   The Assura team got together to catch up and connect with colleagues over pastries, fruit, smoothies, vitamin shots and other tasty healthy food...what a way to start the working day! 🍓

On Tuesday our Head of Social Impact Karen Nolan, PhD and Marketing Officer Hannah Bridgewood attended Warrington Youth Zone for the launch of their AMION Consulting impact report and the incredible Youth Awards. As sponsors, Karen presented the award for the Creative Arts Personality of the Year and it was inspiring to hear all about the difference the Youth Zone is making for the young people of Warrington. We have a vision for sustainable healthcare spaces, helping the NHS and all our healthcare customers meet their net zero carbon aspirations. This means building sustainable schemes and making existing buildings more energy efficient, along with supporting our customers and suppliers to reduce their energy usage. It's Christmas Jumper Day! 🎄 Today in the office #TeamAssura have put on their festive jumpers and outfits to raise money for Save the Children UK, getting in the spirit for our Christmas party this evening 🎉 This year we ran a competition for the best festive outfit or jumper and our office manager Gill was the clear winner with her penguin suit, Paul Warwick came in second with his reindeer hoody and Debbie Chalcraft came third with her Rudolph jumper!
