  • We're looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team. Here's some frequently asked questions that we'll clear up so you know what you're getting into... No, you don't need event experience - it helps - but it's not essential, you do need to have at least one year of experience in a role that offer transferable relevance, particularly in regards to administration. Yes, we're truly flexible; home working, flexible hours, time back in lieu are all offered to make the role work for you. Yes, we are committed to your professional development and offer a training budget to support that commitment. Other benefits? Yes, just check the job listing for the full list, we're also open to hearing your suggestions on how to offer more. We're a close team and we're a small team - we don't advertise roles often, so if you're interested, if you're thinking about a move into events or if you know someone who would be the perfect fit we would welcome recommendations and any shares. https://lnkd.in/dHYKtWe #northeast #eventplanning #event #eventprofs #creativeteams #teamevents #eventsprofs #eventmanagement #events #BeaconHouseEvents #sustainableevents #corporateevents #NorthEastBusiness #NEbusiness #eventagency #ukeventindustry #CompanyCulture

  • Are you a North East business making an impact for good? Are you free on March 27th? Newcastle’s first 'Business with Impact Dinner' will be hosted at food surplus focussed cafe, The Magic Hat Cafe. The dinner aims to bring like-minded North East businesses together to share ideas, tackle the big issues and facilitate connections to empower us all to make more of an impact through our businesses. Attendees can share ideas through five minute lightning talks and network with like-minded individuals. The event is being organised by BeaconHouse Events and wellbeing and sustainability consultancy, Venture Zero. Carbon will be tracked and offset for the event and 10% of proceeds from the evening will be donated to Bind the North East non-profit dedicated to creating positive and permanent solutions to the UK’s food waste problem. This initiative is part of the organisers ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration and driving positive change in the region, believing that by sharing experiences and working together, businesses can make a significant impact, regardless of their current sustainability efforts. We would like to thank Blu Sky Chartered Accountants for sponsoring the event. • As an event management agency we see first hand the impact that people and businesses have on the environment, and being part of an industry that can have quite a concentrated and immediate effect has shaped our business strategy to step up and ensure the impact is a positive one. Supporting causes like Climate Action North brings to the forefront the essential work going on to protect our environment, our communities and our wildlife. Their 'Hogtober' project was identified by Katie McNeill as something she wanted our team to support, because of the focus Climate Action North have on sustained conservation and long lasting impact within our communities. We feel it’s essential for us as a business to continue enabling the education of initiatives like this to change mindsets and work closely together to make the changes necessary to create a more sustainable future. If you're looking for initiatives like this to support in 2025 you can join the team at Climate Action North for their year-round hedgehog conservation. https://lnkd.in/ey5bGYxy

  • ACTUAL* real life transcription of a recent event pitch meeting... Margot: "Jocelyn, brace yourself, I have a brilliant, nay FANTASTIC idea. I think we should invest in a company retreat next year. Imagine, a few days away for the whole team to connect, brainstorm, and maybe even have a little fun." Jocelyn: "Margot, you know how much I love a good idea, but 'budget' is a word that comes to mind." Margot: "Budget you say? No worries, I've crunched the numbers. And think about it, a happier team is a more productive team. This isn't just about having fun, oh no, it's an investment in our future! Quite frankly I can't see how we can't do it...plus, I've got some heads up to keep costs down." Jocelyn: "Intriguing... show me the numbers, and let's see if this 'retreat' can justify itself." Margot: "Consider it done, I've got a proposal ready to go. You'll see, it's not just about team-building, it's about boosting morale, sparking creativity, and maybe even discovering the next big thing for the company." Jocelyn: "Alright, alright, I'm intrigued. Let's hear it..." *by 'ACTUAL' please read 'entirely fictional'. However, with a little prep and some hints and tips from those in the know your next event pitch could go the same way... https://lnkd.in/er_T3CpS

Our sanity levels have been kept at a manageable (lol) level because we know these guys have the operations under control." regarding the delivery of the Atomicon event series. If you needed more persuasion than that we've made a full list of the benefits on our most recent blog... https://lnkd.in/eGRN8khu

  • Looking back on a year of successful events! 2024 has been a year of growth, creativity, and collaboration. • We become 'part of the team' from the moment we start working with any client, and it's exactly the same when we start working with any supplier, they're just one of the gang - sharing our objectives, working towards the same goal, true collaboration. We know what we're doing when it comes to events, but we pride ourselves on surrounding ourselves with experts in their own field. We're doing a series of interviews with the people we work with to make the events we deliver come to life. We're doing this to inspire others, give recognition to our wider team, and offer some guidance for what we have found to be life saving moments in our journey of event production! For over eight years Thomas Jackson and TyneSight Photographic have been capturing the essence of BeaconHouse Events. The unique approach they take to event photography captures those amazingly spontaneous moments that make each event special. It's been a while, and after eight years of successfully honing our way of working, we thought it was a about time we got the essence of how it all works down on paper. Stressing the importance of a good relationship between event photographer with event planner and...the lighting! If you've been struggling to capture the essence of your event with photos that tell the true story of your event and leave a lasting impression, read on... https://lnkd.in/d57XuCwC

  • Did you know 33 million Brits receive unwanted Christmas presents each year and 1 in 10 of those end up in landfill? We think that sucks. So, this year, we will be donating on behalf of each of our clients to The People's Kitchen and matching that donation to make the gift of giving go that little bit further. The charity do amazing work, and if you're a North East based business, individual or just want to recognise the work they're doing we urge you to consider supporting their "Feed a Friend for a Fiver" campaign to provide a three course Christmas Dinner for a homeless or vulnerable person. They provide somewhere warm to come to on Christmas day, to get showered, have a cuppa and eat a proper Christmas dinner with other people so they are not alone. https://lnkd.in/eJvw6nJ2
