    Are You a Manager or a Leader? We're often asked about the distinction between “manager” and “leader” and it is about far more than just semantics—it’s a fundamental difference in mindset and impact. Peter Drucker said "Management is about doing things right, leadership is about doing the right things” and that is a fundamental truism. Managers often focus on maintaining the status quo, ensuring tasks are completed and operations run smoothly. They are process-focused, skilled at maintaining schedules, meeting targets and organizing resources. All organizations need them to function, but their outlook tends to be short-term and they create rigid cultures that can be restrictive in terms of innovation and engagement. Leaders, however, go beyond management to be more people-centric. They inspire, challenge, and transform, looking at the "Why" as well as the "How". They create purpose-driven environments where people feel empowered to be creative and responsible, driving efficiencies and productivity while improving engagement. This is why leaders aren’t only found at the top of an organization; they can exist at every level, from frontline employees to senior executives, influencing others to move toward a shared vision. The transition from manager to leader is possible but it is about behaviours more than skills. It requires a shift in focus and mindset. Inspiring people, stepping out of comfort zones, embracing new opportunities and more than anything else focusing on purpose to drive innovation and resilience.     Independence day celebration in the office 🇮🇳 Though it has been 3 months but it feels like I have been here for a long time....And at the same time it feels like time flew...
