Hubbub's new #HomeAdvantage report shows what UK households really think about #NetZero. 🏘️👇 The UK needs to cut emissions drastically by 2035 to meet net zero, and - let's not forget - secure a livable future on our planet. A huge chunk of that - 32% - depends on what we do as individuals and households. But many people are confused about where to start, and which actions have the most impact. Hubbub's research tackled this head-on. It brought together businesses including B&Q, Barratt Redrow PLC, Starbucks UK, TSB, Unilever UK and Virgin Media O2 and a cohort of over 175 households to develop a blueprint for supporting households to take climate action. ✅ The good news? The households in the study are ready to make changes to reach net zero - and the polling of 501 homeowners showed 75% of UK homeowners agree! 📈 The crucial bit? They need the right support from business and government to make it happen. Read the full report here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eQ3e_KuH

⚡Why we must invest in critical grid infrastructure to achieve net zero: New report from our friends at Aldersgate Group and UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC) 👉 https://bit.ly/40Xf8mn
🔩 Industrial decarbonisation is fundamental to delivering net zero and driving future economic growth, but investment in critical grid infrastructure is vital to enable this change and avoid power constraints. 💡 Today, we launch a new report with the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC) explores the scale of addressing this challenge, the risk of inaction, and sets out recommendations to do so. ⚡ It warns that without further investment, finds that 42% of large industrial sites could experience power constraints in 2030, increasing to 77% in 2050 as the economy electrifies. Read the full set of recommendations to address this issue here 👇 https://bit.ly/40Xf8mn
