We did it! 🙌🏾🤎 There’s no better feeling than coming together with other black women who resonate with our stories, can learn from our experiences and want to support our journeys. And that’s exactly what we did at the Black Ballad Weekender 🥳 A two-day festival like no other; from cornrow classes to motherhood talks and entrepreneurship panels, we really came together as black women to celebrate our multi-faceted brilliance. A-Level results came out this week! And you may have heard that Brampton Manor, a state school in East London with majority black and brown students, is sending more students to Oxbridge than Eton College. It’s been said that motivation is high and it’s normal to get to school at 6am to revise before lessons start. Brampton Manor evidently get the results, but there has been strong concerns about the mental health of the students. #Alevelresults #Bramptonmanor

Black Ballad was founded to create a space that did not yet exist. A space specifically for black women. For the stories of black women, for the joy of black women, the struggles of black women, to be heard on all topics – including work, motherhood, beauty, politics and more.
