This transformation seamlessly blends traditional charm with modern luxury. The upper levels have encompassed modern and traditional design features with new arched roof dormer windows. In contrast, the newly designed contemporary basement with entertaining spaces, spa, and gym offers striking, high-end living spaces with sleek finishes, floor-to-ceiling glass doors, and a state-of-the-art kitchen. This project involved a complex restoration of a Grade II listed building. One of the intricacies of the design was the new stainless steel roof truss rods, in tension, to support the studio roof. Our deliberate use of steel, as opposed to timber, created an unrestricted space and the light nature of the trusses enhanced this studio’s quirky, modernist, interior.
