It’s a volunteering kind of day in Addlestone, the sun is shining and the brickies are on site and already making incredible progress. We even have some of the guys from Super Trowel (UK) on site but there’s no timers today. It’s always humbling to witness the power of people coming together to make a real difference. A huge thank you to Forterra PLC for supplying the bricks and Thermalite blocks, Ibstock - at the heart of building for providing the block and beam floor system and Catnic for supplying the lintels and accessories. Your generosity and partnership help us turn plans into life-changing realities. When manufacturers stand shoulder to shoulder with us, we deliver life changing projects for members of our construction community. #BandOfBuilders #ConstructionCommunity #Volunteering #ThankYou #ChangingLives

Just like a fine wine, clay bricks get better over time. 🍷🧱 Below, you can see Morton's Tower, part of Lambeth Palace. This historic building illustrates the long-term value inherent in clay brick construction, extending well beyond conventional material lifespans. Built in 1490 by Cardinal John Morton, this beautiful clay brick 535 year old building was constructed during Henry VII reign and is still standing after the life and death of 23 other monarchs! This month we're celebrating old brick because it's stood the test of time, but we're also celebrating the limitless possibilities that clay brick is going to bring for a sustainable future. Let us know why you love clay brick too in the comments below! #BetterWithBrick #HistoricalBuildings #ClayBrick #BuiltToLast #MaterialLongevity
