🚒 Building Safer Communities, One Partnership at a Time! 🏡 We recently teamed up with Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue and Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service to host a hands-on training exercise in Gloucestershire. Our properties at Berkeley Close, South Cerney became the stage for a realistic fire drill, helping local crews sharpen their skills while engaging our community. This collaboration highlights our commitment to building safer, stronger communities through meaningful partnerships. We invest in homes and relationships so people can thrive.
About us
We’re a housing association – one of the biggest in the country, with almost 45,000 homes across central and south west England. While we believe in providing warm, safe and secure homes, ultimately we’re a people business. Not only do we care about the 100,000 people who live in our homes, we want them to thrive. We believe that having a great place to call home is just the start and with the right relationships and someone who believes in your potential, almost anything is possible. Our customers are the people that live in our homes for rent and shared ownership. Our customers are also those who rent our garages and our commercial buildings and those buying one of our homes for outright sale. That’s why we will continue to make a difference by investing in relationships and in connecting people, so our customers get to where they want to be. Because when they succeed, we succeed and that success drives us to do even more. That's why our purpose is simple and honest: We invest in homes and relationships so people can thrive.

In June, Bromford announced a proposed merger with Flagship_Group. This partnership would generate an additional £1.9 billion over the next 15 years, allowing us to invest £100 million annually into our business. Our plan includes providing 2,000 homes per year for the next 25 years, with half designated for social rent to support those who need housing the most. Today, we opened a consultation on these plans. Learn more - https://bit.ly/3SmBoTa #UKHousing

S&P Global has reaffirmed our A+ (stable) credit rating. The global ratings agency highlighted our “prudent cost planning and financial headroom” and “very strong liquidity” as key factors in their decision. This reaffirmation is a testament to our robust financial plans and our commitment to providing high-quality, affordable housing. Our recent review examined progress against our new strategy and business plan, which aims to build 11,000 new homes by 2032 and invest £2 billion in maintaining and upgrading our existing homes. This includes improvements to make them more energy efficient. Additionally, we have entered into discussions with Flagship_Group to create one of the largest housing associations in the country, with 80,000 homes and the capacity to build up to 2,000 new homes every year. S&P has confirmed that our combined organisation would continue to reflect an A+ rating. Earlier in the year, we held a dedicated workshop with S&P and a small group of our customers, who shared their experiences living in a Bromford home and discussed how this is taken into account by credit rating agencies. Imran Mubeen, director of treasury, commented: “We’re delighted that S&P has recognised our performance over the past year by reaffirming our A+ rating with a stable outlook. The A+ stable rating is also testimony to the opportunity and capacity we can create through the proposed merger with Flagship, with a £5 billion new funding envelope over the next 15 years delivering over 30,000 new, affordable, energy efficient homes. “We were also pleased to give S&P the opportunity to meet our customers during the year, allowing the agency to hear directly from customers about their lived experiences in their homes and their engagement with our broader services.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/eEUZs38u #CreditRating #AffordableHousing #FinancialStrength #SustainableGrowth #HousingDevelopment Rachel Hurst | Amanda Swann | PAUL WALSH
