Over the past few weeks, significant progress has been made on our site at Bettws Social Club in Bridgend, where we’re developing 20 EPC A-rated apartments for Valleys to Coast. 🏡 Castell Civils has efficiently managed the groundwork, swiftly removing all crushed material, clearing the site, and preparing the piling mat. With piling set to commence shortly, it won’t be long before the structures begin to rise from the ground, marking a visible milestone in this development. We look forward to watching this site progress🤝

Reaching New Heights in Neath! 🏗️ The impressive 45-metre Falcon crane now stands tall on our site, just under the height needing air traffic control and lighting! This towering machine is a crucial part of our Neath Workingmen's Club development for Pobl Group, helping us lift and position materials with precision. Here's the latest from our Samlet Road development for our client Caredig. We've officially started on Phase 2 after overcoming initial delays due to a Section 278 issue. Since breaking ground, we’ve dug the formation level for the slab, and are prepping and installing the stone ready for the raft foundation.🏡 Progress is looking positive, and we’re aiming to have the timber frame in place earlier than anticipated in December. We’ve also just commenced the surface water connection work on the road, a seven-week programme to be delivered by Seer Construction. It’s great to see things moving forward smoothly, bringing us one step closer to delivering these much needed homes to the community.

📢 The Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) for our County Hotel development in Ebbw Vale is now live. With plans for 27 residential units and associated works, we're working alongside Asbri Planning to manage this key stage of the planning process. We will also be partnering with a local Registered Social Landlord to bring these much-needed homes to the area. With a fabric-first approach, the development will feature LoCaL Homes’ closed panel timber frame system, providing excellent insulation which significantly reduces energy demand. For energy efficiency, we’re integrating Solar PV panels, Air Source Heat Pump technology, and electric panel heaters. This combination ensures high-performance, low-carbon energy that minimises long-term costs for residents while supporting sustainable living. The consultation is open until 22nd November 2024. For those interested, please review the plans and submit your feedback—your input is welcome.

Join our site manager, Jason hook, as he takes us through the progress at our Pontymister development in Risca. Groundworkers are installing the rainwater gardens, window fitters are glazing, electricians handling the communal areas, and plasterers are busy skimming. We’ve started mist coating, and the mastic team will be sealing the windows soon. Door linings are up next, and bricklayers are completing the boundary wall. This 18-unit development for our client, Linc Cymru, is really taking shape🏘️
