A BIG congratulations to our 10 colleagues on successfully completing their EDI Essentials: Fostering Equality and Respect in the Workplace 👏 .

When Celtic learnt about the key changes happening to the Building Safety Act on the 6th April 2024, we put a plan in place as soon as possible to ensure our staff members were trained on the new requirements & expectations and to make sure, as a company, we were meeting the latest legislation requirements.   Our journey began on 1st March 2024, with an in-depth Workshop / Q&A day at British Gypsum - Saint-Gobain’s head office. Our Directors, Contract Managers, Estimators and Designers went through a number of challenges we face on live projects and got verification of what was fully compliant with BG’s tested systems in each scenario to achieve the necessary fire protection required. From there, everything learnt was communicated throughout the company in order to maintain a uniformed approach.   Now, 96 courses later, our Directors, Contracts Managers, Project Managers, Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, Health & Safety Managers, Quality Managers and Design Managers have undertaken the CITB ‘Fire safety in buildings’ and ‘Fire safety awareness in construction and the build environment’ training.   We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Robert Lakin and James Byron of Saint-Gobain for their time and continued support across all our projects.   #firesafety #justiceforgrenfell

AND THAT'S A WRAP!! Our Mental Health Awareness Team hosted their final event yesterday at Project Symmetry and the overall total of funds raised for Campaign Against Living Miserably is an incredible £5,061. The Celtic Team would like to extend a special thank you to Nolan Fredericks and his Mace Project team for allowing us to host this event. Nolan had the wonderful idea of getting Pizza's whilst the event was on (all sponsored by Mace), which went down a treat, and it was lovely to see so many people gathered in the same area chatting and smiling - a real 'feel good' day. Thanks once again to all the sites that allowed us to host these events. We would just like to express our deepest appreciation to Adam Burns, Nicole Bowen and Rebecca Begum who were at the forefront of this Celtic Campaign and without whom, these events would not have been possible - you are truly amazing 👏

Our Mental Health Awareness Team hosted a highly successful event today at Project Edward which raised an incredible £1,341 for the CALM Charity and, with the help of the amazing Alfie Farrelly, ISG have very kindly agreed to match the amount raised. We are really blown away by this generosity and cannot thank both Alfie and ISG enough for making this happen. We would also like to thank our fellow sub-contractors at Project Edward for their large donations which made the above figure possible.
