Update on West Hall! We're thrilled to share that we will be wrapping up work on the West Hall, part of the Olympia Redevelopment in Kensington this week on behalf of Laing O'Rourke. After eight weeks of hard work and dedication, our amazing team has been at it day and night, using scaffolding, towers, and MEWPs to tackle high-level services, and complete temporary works. During this time, we've successfully installed an impressive 1,500m² of double-layered fermacell® partitions and linings, along with acoustic and fire encasements around the primary steelwork. We're happy to report that the buffer walls have already shown fantastic results in our initial acoustic tests. Our acoustician couldn’t be more pleased, calling the installation ‘the best he has ever seen’! This week, we began work at One Exchange Square, a Central London office development fronting both Bishopsgate and the newly re-landscaped park Exchange Square. The centrally located development, adjacent to Liverpool Street station, makes it a prime location. Working in collaboration with Mivan Ltd, we will deliver the Knauf partitions and MF ceilings package in the cores and washroom areas of this 447,000 sq ft space. This redevelopment of existing office space prioritises quality and environmental factors with the main contractor, Multiplex, targeting an outstanding BREEAM rating based on retaining 90% of the original structure and fully regenerating the internal spaces. #Construction #LondonProjects #officedevelopments #BREEAM

In September, we welcomed two new trainee estimators, Daisy Leis and Tilly Holland, to our team. Today, they took their first steps on-site, visiting our latest project at 29 Marylebone Road in London, which involves the refurbishment and extension of several buildings for the University of Westminster, including a new café and state-of-the-art learning spaces. We will be using fermacell® products to achieve this build on behalf of our valued repeat client, Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure. Daisy and Tilly were accompanied by Flynn Interiors' Construction Director, Danny Bruce, and Project Manager Rosen Georgiev, along with Morgan Sindall’s Social Value Coordinator, Elliott Shaw.   As Daisy and Tilly start their construction careers, they will be visiting various Flynn Interiors sites to gain a better understanding of drylining systems and the intricacies involved. This hands-on experience will be crucial in their training and development as they work towards becoming experienced Estimators.
