Circle are delighted to have been appointed as Clerk of Works on The Hyde Group’s Development Consultancy Framework. We have been appointed to Lot 3 for 2024-2028 across all of the four sub-lots. Established in 1967, Hyde is one of the largest housing associations working in England, owning or managing circa 50,000 homes in London, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, the East of England and East Midlands. The Framework will cover a range of project sizes with the Clerk of Works providing on site quality management, benchmarking and progress reporting to ensure the delivery of a high-quality and compliant build. LEEDS II – Primary School Recycled Planters This week the RG Group team from Leeds II who are currently constructing a new residential building for our client HUB, visited St Margarets Primary School in Leeds. The team delivered new planters, which were built from recycled pallets and shuttering timber donated by numerous sub contractors including Fox Aluminium, PIC, SCS, 4D, Metclad and Kone . Arranged by our Environmental Champion Adam Green and supported by RG After Care’s Phil Hole, GoGreen and Starkold Building Services, our group of volunteers supported the children and staff who spent the morning planting vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruit bushes, along with bird feeders too. A big thank from everyone at RG Group to all those who volunteered their time and supported the whole initiative, from saving the timber, constructing the planters, delivering the planters to the school, providing the soil and plants and of course helping the children with the planting. One Maidenhead has officially opened! The mixed-use development, by Smedvig and HUB, features 429 residential units and 23,000 square feet of retail space. Designed by ColladoCollins, the development is spread over four blocks, each ranging from 11 to 16 storeys high, with residences situated above three levels of retail space. The complex lower floor plates demanded precise planning and BIM coordination. The scheme provides much-needed housing and retail space for Maidenhead, a key commuter hub to London, Reading, and beyond.
