Our first #coliving project, #Yardhouse, is on site in West London. Developed in partnership with Bridges Fund Management Ltd. and Women's Pioneer Housing, this will see the delivery of 60 brand new affordable homes for women in need, plus a new office for the specialist housing association, alongside a block of co-living homes forward-funded by City Developments Limited. Located along the Westway, with great connections to the public transport network, #Yardhouse is a really good example of a pioneering partnership working together to unlock a tricky site which will deliver a significant quantum of much-needed good quality, affordable homes. The site is making good progress with JJ Rhatigan & Company, supported by Circle Development and the rest of the professional team. #progressivedeveloper #regeneration

📢 New year, new roles - we have made four senior promotions within our development team, reflecting our commitment to nurturing talent from within and supporting our continued strategic growth. Victoria Manston has been promoted to Head of Development, and will collaborate with the senior leadership team to shape and implement HUB’s strategic vision - alongside leading key projects in London, Leeds and Bath. We have also created three new Development Director roles, each focusing on a speciality area, helping to create a more comprehensive and integrated HUB strategy and framework across regeneration, construction, and design - in addition to leading specific development projects: Tom Valente, Development Director – Regeneration Tom V is focusing on HUB schemes that transform underused places into vibrant, sustainable communities, aligning with our strategy of using #BTR as a catalyst for #regeneration. He will also continue his role on the NLA Expert Panel on Retrofit and Conservation  Tom Stoneham, Development Director – Design A qualified architect, Tom S is elevating HUB’s design strategy, ensuring creativity and #sustainability continue to be at the core of every project. Tom is already leading on projects like #Cornerstone, our #repurposing of a 1950s office building at 45 Beech Street next to the Barbican to deliver 174 #coliving homes Brad Burridge, Development Director – Construction Trained as a structural engineer, Brad will oversee construction activities, ensuring that all HUB’s projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. He is already leading complex new build and repurposing projects alongside this focus. Our new structure ensures a considered approach at every stage of the development process. We are very proud to have completed on the purchase of the last plot within Lendlease's Elephant & Castle masterplan, in partnership with H.I.G. Capital Our plans for the site, which already has commercial consent, are to create a mixed-use development made up of shared-living homes, affordable homes, new public realm, ground floor retail provision, and a health hub. We're looking forward to working closely with Southwark Council and the local community to create a place that is in line with their requirements, and adds to this emerging neighbourhood. Our #OneMaidenhead development is a feast of bricks! Very nice to see phase one, which we delivered in partnership with Smedvig for Get Living, featured in the Brick Development Association (BDA) bulletin: "Each building is unique yet harmoniously connected, showcasing the versatility of brick." Designed by Studio Egret West, and delivered by ColladoCollins and JJ Rhatigan & Company, #OneMaidenhead completed earlier this year bringing new, energy efficient homes, retail and a beautifully-planted new public garden square to the heart of the town. #progressivedeveloper #regeneration

This week saw the launch of the Family Voices toolkit, developed by ZCD ARCHITECTS LTD with Van Leer Foundation, which aims to support the creation of better housing for early childhood. HUB is very proud to have been involved in the creation of this valuable resource which provides guidance and tools to help amplify the voices of families with young children so we can create housing that truly supports their wellbeing. The toolkit is designed for developers, investors, policymakers, housing providers, and engagement facilitators, so we can create meaningful social value in housing and neighbourhood developments. It's important because: 👉 Housing impacts family wellbeing - housing affects health, education, and future opportunities. Quality affordable housing can help reduce caregiver stress and support the healthy physical, cognitive and emotional  development of children, as well as strengthening social networks in urban areas. 👉 Families are often left out of housing conversations - despite making up 35% of city populations, families with young children often aren't consulted on housing decisions. Their insights can help inform the design and development of housing projects around the world. 👉Lifelong impact for the next generation - investing in family-friendly housing creates lasting social and economic returns. By designing housing with young families in mind, we can create more connected communities and provide a strong foundation for future generations.
