🌏 Turning Climate Ambition into Impact: Climate Impact Partners today announced a new deal with Microsoft and Terra Natural Capital to deliver long-term finance to the Panna afforestation project in India, unlocking the project’s potential to deliver more than three million tonnes of verified carbon removal credits over 30 years: https://lnkd.in/eKbP-HTu This collaboration combines our project development expertise with funding from Terra Natural Capital and a long-term buyer commitment from Microsoft, which will purchase at least 1.5 million tonnes of verified removal credits over the 30-year period. The Panna project, developed by Climate Impact Partners, is actively engaging with local farmers and communities to plant over 11.5 million native trees, combining 18 different species, across 20,000 hectares of farmer and community lands. To date, over 1.2 million trees have been planted across 100 communities. 🌳 The project offers significant impacts including: 🌱 Economic Empowerment: Farmers will directly benefit from a share of carbon credit sales and income generated from the sale of fruit and medicinal produce from the trees. 🌾 Sustainable Agriculture: Training programs on climate-smart agricultural techniques will enhance long-term yields. 💧 Water Conservation: The project prioritizes water conservation and has implemented large-scale infrastructure, including ponds, borewells, and drip irrigation systems. 🦋 Improved Biodiversity: Each planting model includes biodiversity-focused native species, attracting butterfly and bird species to currently degraded lands. Sheri (Houston) Hickok, CEO, Climate Impact Partners, Brian Marrs, Senior Director Energy Markets, Microsoft, and Erica Vertefeuille, Managing Director, Terra Capital share why this partnership is so vital to ensuring a thriving future for all life on Earth below 👇 Read the full press release here: https://lnkd.in/eKbP-HTu Steph Harris, Colleen Flynn, Annie Guo, Phillip Goodman, Sam Winninghoff, Monica Duda, Alterra H., Ben Gatley, Sophie Whitehead, Hadiah Amirullah, Manon Constanty, Lana Le Hir, Karthik Kumar, Ian Faucher, Ruth Malone, Jack Lonsdale, Erica Vertefeuille, Stephen Gill

ClimateCare and Natural Capital Partners formed Climate Impact Partners—a world-leading Carbon Market Group.
About us
For 25 years, Climate Impact Partners has delivered solutions for action on climate. We believe that carbon markets have a critical role to play in delivering action by putting a price on carbon and funding carbon reduction projects to meet our global climate goals. Climate Impact Partners builds on the expertise, integrity, and innovation of two companies that have led the voluntary carbon market – Natural Capital Partners and ClimateCare – in a merger arranged by Averna Capital. Fuelled by a relentless drive for rapid action and results, our global team continues to pioneer the market’s growth, and set the standards for quality that will maximise its impact. Together with the world’s leading companies and quality project partners we will cut 1 billion tonnes of CO2 to transform the global economy, improve health and livelihoods, and restore a thriving planet. We do this by delivering the highest quality carbon-financed projects, from which we create carbon credit and energy attribute certificate portfolios. This enables organizations to offset the emissions they can’t reduce, put a price on carbon to incentivize change, and meet their ambitious climate goals. We have been awarded Best Offset Retailer for the 12th time and Best Project Developer: Public Health for the 11th time in Environmental Finance’s Voluntary Carbon Market Awards. 💧Saturday, March 22, was #WorldWaterDay, falling right in the heart of #WomensMonth, a powerful reminder that access to #cleanwater is not just about health - it’s about equality, opportunity, and resilience for women and girls. 🚰 Women and girls spend a staggering 200 million hours each day collecting water - time that could be spent in school or earning an income. 📚 Girls are 2.5 times more likely to drop out of school in communities without reliable access to clean water. 💼 Women’s productivity and income rise when clean water is available, helping to break cycles of poverty. 💡 Climate-resilient water solutions reduce emissions, protect ecosystems, and build stronger, healthier communities. We’re proud to support life-changing initiatives like Aqua Clara Kenya in East Africa, and Ecofiltro in Guatema ensuring clean water reaches those who need it most.🌍✨ Check out some photos of these high-integrity, impactful carbon projects and the communities they benefit, below. 📸 Photos 1, 2, and 3 showcase Aqua Clara water filtration systems providing safe water to women and school children. 📸 Photos 4, 5, and 6 highlight Ecofiltro water filters making a difference for women and children in Guatemala, ensuring access to safe drinking water.

Afia Yeboah Bediako’s story at Form Ghana Ltd is a powerful example of what’s possible when opportunity meets ambition.🌱 In the forestry industry, which men have traditionally dominated, she’s thriving as a plantation manager - proof that when organizations prioritize inclusivity, talent rises. Beyond driving environmental impact, Form Ghana ensures workplace safety and equal opportunities for all, reinforcing that willingness and dedication, not gender, determine success (which is one of the many reasons we're proud to partner with them to scale reforestation and community development in Central Ghana).🌳 Afia's experience is a reminder of women's vital role in shaping the future of climate solutions and carbon markets. Join us for our upcoming webinar on women accelerating action in the carbon markets to explore how gender inclusion drives impact across the industry this Thursday 20th March: https://lnkd.in/evsQkQk5 #WomenInCarbon #Forestry #ClimateAction #DiversityInLeadership #WomensMonth #IWD2025
