Following the receipt our BSF Champion status, Suzy Nowlan and Simon Phillips, who led our journey, attended the #UKConstructionEvent. It was great to catch up with Alex Caller and Louise Wren from the BSF Project team and hear from fellow champions. It’s not an easy journey to Champion status, and once you’ve got it, you need to uphold it, so it was useful hearing from Casey about their challenges and shared commitment to #Leadership and #Culture in #BuildingSafety   We also got to hear insightful updates on new building safety legislation, along with a deep dive into best building safety practices that offered lots of key takeaways. Thanks to Building a Safer Future Charter for inviting us, and those at Casey for sharing your story. Looking forward to more opportunities to raise standards across the sector with fellow BSF champions! 🙌 ✅

Fantastic session this morning at the Housing Digital's micro-conference on Customer Experience - Tech with a human heart. It was great meeting others working on this topic and I found it incredibly insightful. The discussions on how technology, including IOT, can enhance resident engagement and satisfaction were very interesting and really resonated with our goals at Complete Technology Group to improve digital inclusion and help landlords get more residents connected.

The UK Government has today announced a substantial investment in rural broadband. A positive step forward in improving digital inclusivity throughout the UK, however there are other key factors that must still be considered. Kevin Monaghan, Chief Commercial Officer of Complete Technology Group - “Digital connectivity is essential for consumers and businesses today, as the Government says, but injecting more money into the broadband rollout will not tackle the lack of awareness that is heavily impacting take-up. Full Fibre, lightning fast, superfast, ultrafast – working on the front line with landlords and residents, we know that a notable proportion of people are confused by this sort of industry jargon, in turn hindering take-up.  “It’s crucial the Government works with the telecoms sector to implement a nationwide education programme so consumers can make informed decision about broadband services and providers.
