The latest Watt a Save report by The Home Builder’s Federation shows househunters could save more than £2,000 a year on their energy bills by buying new. The report also found the average newbuild home emits 61% less carbon a year than their older counterparts, cutting an average 2.16 tonnes of emissions each. This figure is even greater for properties built since June 2023, at a staggering 73%. Steve Kelly, our Director of Growth Marketing, said: “All of us at Cora share a passion for our environment and in boosting sustainability efforts. “Aside from the fantastic savings our homes are generating for our buyers, it is great to know they are also having a positive impact on our nationwide push for net zero.” Learn more about our thoughts on the recent report in our latest blog: https://lnkd.in/eFMF_k5f #WattaSave #Report #NetZero #Environment #NewBuild #CoraHomes

To celebrate National Moving Day, we want to give a warm welcome to buyers Chloe and Jack, who have recently moved into their new home at Stoche Acre. The couple moved into their new home in June after being supported throughout the process by our Sales Advisor, Jane Williams. Chloe said: “Jane in the sales team was incredible for us throughout the entire process. She supported us every step of the way and in honesty, the move wouldn’t have been possible without her. “Buying a house is a huge investment, so having that support gives you real peace of mind” The only thing we love more than handing over the keys to homeowners is hearing just how great a job our staff have done in making their dream a reality. Meet John, our newest resident at the Old Sawmill, who has just moved into our former showhome to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren, who have lived here for the past year. John said: “Previously, I only lived a mile or so away from here and I was looking for a house in the area, originally a bungalow. But when this showhome went back on the market I just thought it was perfect. “It’s great because I’m here on hand for the children – they come here after school. His daughter Emily added: “It’s lovely as dad is now very close and helping with the babysitting. “Cora has gone above and beyond to make sure we’re happy, and the customer service has been excellent. “I cannot fault them at all.” We’re proud to have played a role in bringing this family closer together, further proving that Cora Homes creates amazing places. It’s great news for buyers and homeowners alike that interest rates have dropped for the first time since March 2020. Last Thursday's update means those currently on tracker mortgages could save an average of £350 a year. The market is showing positive signs – which comes at a great time as the government looks to reintroduce housing targets and get Britain one step closer to solving the housing crisis. But what does that mean for those looking to buy a Cora home? For a start, it means lower monthly repayments – giving you access to the benefits of a Cora home for less, including: • An excellent quality home built to the highest of specifications • Higher energy ratings – leading to lower monthly energy bills • A 10-year NHBC warranty • A two-year fixtures and fittings warranty Discover our current range of developments here: https://lnkd.in/exn2N3NU #Mortgages #MortgageRates #Interest #Finance #Housebuilder

We're still looking back at an amazing afternoon at Broadnook on Wednesday! It wasn't just special guests like local politicians, partners and a TV news crew that we invited along on the day though – we were proud to welcome colleagues from across the Cora Homes team. That included the likes of Jess from our planning team and Jiten from business intelligence. Whether they work on-site or behind the scenes, everyone at Cora is playing their part in making our Broadnook vision a reality. But what is our Broadnook vision, you ask? Here's how we're achieving our mission of Creating Amazing Places at Broadnook: - Excellent quality, energy efficient homes - A plethora of community facilities, from sports spaces to parks - A village centre with shops - More than 50% of land dedicated to green spaces - A £17million investment in local schools, including the construction of a new primary school and early years centre - Quick and regular transport links to Leicester and an easy commute to Midlands hubs like Nottingham and Derby Sound exciting? There's so much more to Broadnook, which you can find on our website: https://lnkd.in/eUajA_9F #CreatingAmazingPlaces #Team #Broadnook #NewHomes #StaffAppreciation RM Contractors

It was a pleasure to welcome the Deputy Mayor of Charnwood, Cllr David Northage and his wife Jenny to Broadnook yesterday to witness the start of construction at the historic Garden Village development. Cllr Northage has been a huge supporter of Broadnook and was full of praise for the Cora Homes team on the day. Here's what he had to say: “It’s a real privilege to be here today to witness another step forward in bringing this dream to life. “Charnwood Borough are immensely proud to be host to Leicestershire’s first Garden Village. This development is so exciting – a brand-new stand-alone community is being created. A community complete with every up-to-date facility to provide for modern day living. “Cora Homes are excited and proud to be part of this amazing project, and so they should be. We wish them well and thank them for being part of the Broadnook journey.” #CreatingAmazingPlaces #Broadnook #Leicestershire #NewHomes

This afternoon the Cora team celebrated the start of construction at the upcoming Broadnook Garden Village development with a groundbreaking ceremony. The building of an array of excellent quality, energy-efficient homes has begun at the development in Rothley, Leicestershire, which will be the county’s first garden village, made up of more than 1,900 homes, community centres and green spaces. Also in attendance at the event was the Deputy Mayor of Charnwood. Bert Broadhead, Director at Cora Homes, said: “We’re hugely proud to be breaking ground at Broadnook. “We can’t wait to see the project advance and for people to see the Cora way.” Find out more about the event and the next steps for the development, on our website: https://lnkd.in/gVC8SNfX #Broadnook #Leicestershire #BreakingGround #Construction #HousingDevelopment With thanks to our colleagues at RM Contractors.
