The standard of entries to all of the Homes for Scotland award categories is high. For the past decade, Cruden Homes has been building a thriving community at King’s View, delivering nearly 400 new homes as part of this highly successful development. With the final phase set to launch soon, we’re proud to continue making a positive impact in the area. Recently, our King’s View Phase 4 site team stepped in to support Orchard Grove Kindergarten after storms badly damaged their perimeter fence. Working alongside DS McG Ltd, we not only repaired the fence but also extended it—creating a larger, safer outdoor space for the children to enjoy. Sandra Markey Manager at Orchard Grove Kindergarten said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Cruden for repairing and extending our nursery fence, which received substantial damage in the last storm. “Orchard Grove Kindergarten is a social economy in the heart of Toryglen and we are registered for 40 children. The damage to the fence meant that our youngest children did not have access to outdoor play in a safe and secure environment. “Now that our fence has been so kindly fixed and extended means that our children can benefit again from daily outdoor play.” A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this happen! Supporting Future Talent Through Work Placements Last week, we said goodbye to our fantastic work placement student, Lei-Lei, as she completed her time with us. She joined us through the City of Edinburgh’s Developing the Young Workforce initiative as part of the Community Benefits Programme for Granton, gaining valuable experience while working towards her Foundation Apprenticeship in Business Skills. Over the past few months, Lei-Lei spent one day a week working across our business support divisions, all while studying full-time at high school. This was her first experience in a business environment, and she truly excelled!
